Rose blushed softly as he said that she looked nice today. "I'm sorry. When are the services tomorrow? I would like to come, if that's alright with you?" she then stepped into the house a bit more. "do you want to come inside? I saw mom had some sweet sun tea made." She didn't know why she was doing this. She knew that she should have turned him away. She couldnt break his heart again.

“3:00. You don’t have to come.” He told her and started walking away. ”It’s kind of obvious you don’t want me here.” He murmured before walking away. He had a limp because he had gotten in a bad car accident and had to get surgery on his leg. He had a permanent limp now.

Rose watched him go, a deep frown on her face. She didn't know what to do. She only planned on being here long enough to pack the house up and get it for sale. Her life was up north now, there was nothing for her down here. Her and Noah's relationship was done five years ago. And she refused to admit that she loved him still. Rose closed the screen door as he walked away, heading into the kitchen.

He called his mom and went to a park near by. He saw his friend and grinned a bit. “Hey. I just met up with Rose. She looks amazing.” He told his bud and looked at his dog. “I miss her a lot.” He told his friend a frowned.

James's boots thumped on the ground as he walked over to the bench. He sat down, rubbing the dog between the ears. Listening to Noah. "That's great. What did she think of you showing up?"

Noah sighed. “She moved on I think. She didn’t look happy when she saw me. I told her about Derrick and she is most likely coming to the funeral.”

James listened to him quietly. Giving a gentle frown at the mention of Derrick. "Did you invite her? I didn't think you would do that." he said about the funeral. "And maybe she hasn't moved on, and that is why she wasn't too happy." James shrugged. "Did she at least invite you inside?"

Noah nodded a bit and gave James a quick hug. "I told her the time. I didn't even know she was coming though. That's why I feel like she's moved on." He told James and looked down. "She did but I told her she had the look in her eyes that she didn't want me to be there so I rejected the request."

James hugged him back for a moment. "As far as I know. She barely even talked to her own parents." He said. "Everytime Elias was into the shop, he would briefly tell me she called only once a month." He thought about Rose's father, he would always stop into the cabinetry shop to chat every now and then. "What do you think about all of this? Do you want to get back together with her?"
