As Neveah said it, Elias and Maverick took down the plank that connected the two ships, untying the ropes and letting the other vessel drift away.
"What? Why not?" Brandy asked, watching the other ship. "It's too late now. Besides, if you stayed on that ship, you would die. We took all the supplies, and it's unmanned. The next storm that rolls around is going to reduce that thing to broken planks of wood."

Nevaeh watched the two guys and then let tiny tears form into her eyes. "They will hurt me...." She whispered before crying softly. "I Don't want to be hurt anymore..." She said and then saw the guys looking over at her. "Ill clean the ship... Ill do what ever you guys want me to do..." She said and started to cough a bit from all of her crying over the past two weeks.

"They're not going to hurt you, I swear." Brandy reassured her, gently putting a hand on her shoulder. "Come on, I'll show you where you can wash up and get some food. You're free now, and no one is going to bother you. Slay is the captain, he rescues slaves and helps them find homes." She said, pointing Elias out to the shaken girl.

Nevaeh looked at the captain and quietly nodded. "O-Okay...." She whispered and started to follow Brandy. "And who is that guy?" She asked and looked over to Maverick. She then saw the wash room. "My back still hurts..." She reminded, missing her servants just jumping into action.

"That's Maverick, he's the second mate. Wendy is the first." Brandy explained, pointing out the two. "And yeah, I'm sure it does." She said, frowning in sympathy. "Wendy can find you something to help with that in a moment."
"Attention, please!" Elias raised his hand, gathering the new crew members around. "My name is Captain Slay, but you can call me Elias. You are free from those pirates now, and no one here will hurt you. We have food and water for all of you, and soft hammocks for you to sleep in. All I ask is that in return, you help keep the ship working smoothly and assist where it is needed." He then paused, smiling warmly. "But for today, just rest. I am sure you are all exhausted. NAME has dinner prepared for you in the mess hall; eat as much as you wish." He said, allowing Wendy to guide the children into the largest cabin, where tables were set with plenty of food.

Nevaeh nodded and went to eat in the mess hall. She got some food and sat down to eat her food. "This smells really good." She then gasped. "I haven't introduced myself. Im Nevaeh." She said as she saw the captain pull up a chair by her.

“It is good,” Elias chuckled. “Dinner is always good when NAME cooks it.” He then nodded to Neveah, removing his hat as he did so. “You can call me Elias. I’m pleased to meet you.” He said, careful not to make any sudden movements, as he could tell she was wary.

Nevaeh watched him as he took off his hat and sat by her. "You know that's kinda what the other pirate said...." She then went to stand up and go off, but quickly decided against it. "W-Why are you pleased to meet me out of all the other kids on the ship?" She asked him as she took a bite of the food and made a face about it before noticing it was real good so she took another bite. "Do we have any tea?"

"We're not like other pirates." Wendy joined the conversation, sitting on Elias' other side. "We kill bad pirates and save kids like you. That's all you need to know." She said, then took a large bite of her food.
Elias gave her a look, then sighed, turning to Neveah again.
"Sorry about that." He apologized. "Wendy is a bit wary of strangers." He said, coughing and nudging the other girl with his elbow. "But you have nothing to worry about. You'll be safe here. And I've got an extra cabin you can have to yourself, if you need a break from the kids." He offered.

Nevaeh watched Wendy closely and then nodded slowly. "W-Why would you offer me my own room?" She asked him and then shifted a bit in her seat as her back was still hurting. "Who is that girl?" She asked as she saw a girl who seemed to be thirteen years old and seemed to have a few problems. "W-who is that?" She asked as she saw the girl walking around the ship. "Um my back is hurting..."
