Mark made a very rude noise at his friend as he lagged behind them, Jenna chuckled as she kept up with Laker, "You guys seem like good friends." she said, smiling over at him before she looked ahead. "Thanks for inviting me on this run, I was kind of worried that you might regret talking to me."

Laker looked back at Jenna before smiling. "Yeah we are." He said, keeping his pace. He glanced back at Mark, a fake frown on his face. Turning his head sharply again, he heard Jenna, shaking his head. "No, I wouldn't have. It actually is fun learning more about myself." He shrugged slightly while continuing to run. "And plus, this helps get my energy out from drinking the coffee last night." He joked.

Jenna laughed, "I knew you were drinking too much coffee." she teased as she looked at him. "Anything else you want to learn as we run? Unless you will get too winded." she teased as she sidestepped around a rock before looking over at him for a moment.

Laker almost tripped over a twig, flailing his arms slightly as he regained his balance. "Not much." He said, trying to cover up his mistake of almost falling, "Unless there is anything you would want to tell me." He added in the end quickly. He looked back at Mark again, waving and smirking.

Jenna was ready to reach out and grab him when he stumbled, but thankfully he recovered quickly. she nodded as she ran, looking ahead, "You saved my life when we were on a mission, I was shot and I was not doing well, but you grabbed me, you picked me up and made me look at you, you made me hold on and focus on you, your eyes. You are the only reason I am still here today." she said softly.

Laker's smile grew wider when she spoke. "So I saved you?" He said softly, practically knowing the answer. He let out a calm sigh, trying to keep himself stable. He did save people. Not only today, but before the accident. He took a few awkward jumped over a few large rocks, laughing at himself.

"Yes, you did, you saved a lot of people, you were our squad leader, and you never left anyone behind. You kept us all alice." she said as she glanced over at him. When he made that awkward series of jumps Jenna couldn't help but laugh, but that distracted her from where she was looking and her foot caught a root and she jolted forwards, her hands going out to catch herself.

Laker looked over and saw her foot get snatched by the root, so he quickly slipped over, sliding to catch her so she didn't get hurt. He had a rough landing when trying to catch her, but at least she didn't get as injured as she would have if he just let her fall without any support. "You okay?" He asked her through a series of breaths.

Jenna was startled when suddenly she was ontop of Laker, she smiled a bit, "I am fine, are you okay?" she asked as she stood up and helped him up, brushing him off before she went to check and make sure his back was okay. Mark caught up, "Hey, are you guys okay?" he asked them, having seen them fall.

Laker nodded, looking up as he saw Mark. "Hey, and yeah I'm okay." He said, looking at Jenna. He stood up when Jenna helped up, brushing off his clothes as well. "That took a turn." He laughed, looking at the root that caused Jenna to trip. "We better watch where we are going." He chuckled again.
