Right in the corner of Boston, stood a small, quaint coffee shop. It was a smaller area of Boston, but everyone loved the store. They would drop by almost everyday, and get something new, because they loved the owner, and because it was delicious and helpful. One day, when a girl moves from South Korea to Boston, Massachusetts, expecting life would be ruined, since hers was broken in Korea. Until she found the adorable little store..right by her lovely apartment...and thats where she found her love for Boston, Coffee.....and people.

Personality: Lisa loves making new friends. She's an open book, and loves to spend time in a hammock, reading a book. When Lisa isn't attempting to find a friend, or flirting with a cute guy, she'll curl up with her cat, and read, or watch tv. Sometimes, Lisa is a bit aggressive, and she can come off kinda rude at first. But once you get to know her, she is a great person. Though, she can be stubborn, and takes things the wrong way sometimes.
history: Lisa used to live in South korea. She lost her dad before she was born, and her sisters didn't know much about him anyways, since he fled after cheating on her mom while she was pregnant, and it broke her. While that was always happening, Lisa was always in hopes of finding a love. Obsessing over a boy band guy(BamBam), she never wanted to leave. Finding out he has an american girlfriend,(im linking things to another roleplay im doing lol.), she quickly gave him up. She was forced to move to Amercia. She struggling learning english, and now, her grammar is easily mixed up. She is getting there, but she still is a bit off with her english.
Interests: Lisa always had a interest in animals. She loved them all, always switching her favorites up. lisa could never turn down a quiet night of reading outside, in her calm neighborhood. She always liked trying new things, aswell. Any new foods, hobbies, movies, anything. She always wanted to do something new.
Dislikes: Spiders. She can't think of anything she really dislikes besides spiders. And Lisa never really liked chocolate cake or ice cream. She just can't stand the thought of it, or those extra big candy bars. Yuck.
Pets: Lisa has 1 cat, and she is a tiny, snuggle bomb. Her name is Puma, and she is still a tiny kitten, though its hard to tell: since her even growing up, her legs will be forever short. image:

Appearance: Seamus is a young man of average height and weight with peach-colored, heavily freckled skin. He has a boyish face that betrays his age, with wide eyes and a toothy smile. His eyes are light brown and framed by long, dirty blonde lashes. His hair is similarly colored, though slightly lighter, and it comes down to his jawline in an untamed mess of curls and cowlicks. Huge round glasses cover the majority of his face, sitting high on his crooked nose. His body is relatively free of scars, and his freckles concentrate on his cheeks and shoulders.

He tends to dress fairly sharp, favoring button-ups and nice slacks over tees and jeans. All of his clothes seem a size too big, like a child playing dressup. On certain days he's wear a nice bowtie with an interesting pattern or color to compliment his clothes, but he tends to stick to the basics for most part. He occasionally wears nice brown leather dress shoes, but he usually just goes for some plain canvas sneakers.

Personality: Seamus has long since grown out of his introverted and timid shell from childhood, but he still retains a few traits. He tends to be fairly reserved, not starting up conversations unless prompted. He's not shy, per se, but he finds that talking to a complete stranger about his day and life can be a bit intimidating. He remains friendly to customers and friends alike. He has a minor fear of large dogs.

With those he's close to, he's much more open. His unique laugh, full of snorts, will ring whenever he's with friends, and he almost always seems to have a smile on his face. He has a pretty poor sense of humor, finding absolutely everything funny while being unable to make a joke himself. Regardless, at least some people seem to appreciate him.

History: Seamus grew up in a small town that barely had a place on the map with his mother father, and three siblings. He worked on their farm, caring for the livestock and spending his days tending to the corn they grew. Once he was old enough, he said goodbye to his family and went to the big city in order to make a name and life for himself. He hopes to scrounge up enough money to attend college, but he currently spends his time managing a coffee shop.

Interests: Seamus enjoys reading and writing, and he hopes to one day become an English teacher. Unsurprisingly, he's a huge coffee fan, and he likes tea as well. Nature is another interest of his, but he gets sunburnt too easily and rarely has time to go outside.

Dislikes: He's not the biggest fan of sweets, and large dogs frighten him. Other than those, Seamus doesn't believe he has anything he particularly dislikes.

Lisa yawned as she opened her eyes, sun burning her face. She turned to see her sleeping cat, sprawled right by her legs. She flip the covers to fly on top of her kitten, as she walked to her dresser, and pulled out a plaid skirt, and a black crop top. She threw on some knee high boots and put her hair in french braids, and walked to her kitchen, where boxes covered most of the floor. She quickly made herself some eggs, and left her apartment. She threw open her door too see a busy neighborhood, and lots of cars already zooming by. As she walked down the street to find some entertainment, she found a small, brown coffee shop at a corner of a block near her.


As she pushed the door open, already she could feel a bit more awake. Everyone sitting on the tables were buzzing and chattering with exitement, and all hyped up on the coffee smell. As her boots clicked on the wooden floor, she saw a man with a warm smile behind the counter. She glanced at the menu, and looked back down." 'I'm new to Boston. If you can, make me a coffee you feel matches me." She smiled at the man, hoping he got what she said. She pulled out her phone, and pulled out one of the twenties hidden behind her roses phone case, and watched everyone come and go to this small area.[/center](eh i tried)

The day was new and bright, and Seamus was at his coffee shop early as to tend to the various customers that came through the door. He had a few other baristas working under him, just as he had for the previous manager, but he tended to work the majority of the week in order to keep an eye on the cafe. Thankfully it wasn't particularly busy this morning, and they were able to take the orders and quickly send them out.

A young woman with bright hair and an even brighter smile pulled up to the register, and he offered a practiced smile to her. Her request was a bit odd, though oftentimes people requested that he pick a drink for them. He usually went with the basics. He took in her features briefly, before deciding on a vanilla bean latte. His fingers punched it into the system.

"And what size would you like?" he asked, his voice having the barest hint of backwater twang.

Lisa smiled brighter at the man, " A medium, please." She already loved this store. The smell of coffee always Lisa feel more awake, and she couldn't resist smiling at the adorable shop. She usually didn't drink coffee, especially in Korea. But for some reason, Boston made Lisa more adventurous and she couldn't resist trying new things. She was thinking she probably wouldn't like the coffee, but it was the thought that counts.

Maybe I'll just chuck it in the garbage outside when no one sees.. She thought. She was expecting to dislike this coffee. The little angel on her shoulder told her to try it, but right now, the devil's side seemed much more tempting.

Seamus flashed that same customer service smile to her before telling her the total and accepting the required money. Instead of calling back to one of the baristas to make it, he stepped away from the register to hop on the line himself. It was a slow day, so he wasn't worried about getting backed up with customers. It gave him a moment to further hone his skills as barista, as well. He enjoyed being able to whip together drinks.

The vanilla bean latte didn't take long to make, and he left a little more room for cream if she desired it. Once finished, he handed it over the counter to her, sliding a sleeve over in the process so she didn't burn her hands on the hot drink.

"I don't recognize your accent," he began, deciding to start a small conversation, "Where are you from?"

Lisa tapped her fingers on the counter while she waited for the coffee. She reached for the cup, once it was done, but waited once again as he slid a sleeve over it." Oh, thank you." She took a quick sip of it, and instantly feel in love. It didn't even taste like coffee, and it was absolutely energizing, and delicious.


" I'm from Korea. South Korea to be exact. I don't quite miss it, since I had drama there, but i wouldn't mind going back someday. Where are you from?" She wiped some coffee off her lips with a napkin, and tossed it away, praying no one noticed her coffee lips

Seamus listened to her explanation with a bright face, smiling one she finished. He'd never been outside of the states, but he'd heard enough about South Korea. It seemed like a fun enough place, though the cities would probably be too loud and bright for him. The language was hard, too--and he was no good with languages. He knew the barest snippets of Spanish to help out with customers who came in, but he had no skills beyond that. It was a shame, honestly.

"Oh, me?" He smiled sheepishly, his crooked teeth peeking out. "I'm from a little town in Virginia. Nothin' exciting out there, at least. I imagine Korea has a lot more festive stuff than my little hometown."

She smiled, and laughed a bit." Actually, that sounds really nice. Seoul was super gorgeous, and I'm not going to lie, but since it was the second most populated town in South Korea...it was like the town never sleeps. After a while I got use to it, but Boston compared to Seoul is so much quieter. A small area in Virginia sounds....perfect." She never really thought about it until now, but she wished she didn't live in Seoul. She thought she found the love of her life, but she was wrong. She smiled at the man, though." Maybe I'll go there someday. A quiet life sounds absolutely amazing." She stole another sip from her coffee, and sighed. She enjoyed her life right now, more than she ever did.


She leaned against the counter, getting ready for a nice conversation before she would have to get home. She was really loving this coffee shop.
