Welcome to our little game....well, i wouldn't call it our game. it's their game. you know, the ones who live beneath the light of the moon? They're the puppeteers. we're the puppets. some of us claim that we're just following their orders for protection, for survival. others of us were raised with them, and see them not as a threat but rather our close friends. They aren't terrible people you know? so don't be afraid. come and take my hand, i'm sure you'll like them. just don't run away ok? they don't like that very much.

Welcome to the rather large town of Lunecent. It was always a rather quiet and peaceful town. Not many robberies or other small crimes, no murders. There is hardly anyone in the town's prison. Things were this way, until recently. a small new group moved to the town. a group of mysterious, but interesting people. they don't socialize much, but the people they have been seen talking to always end up going missing. yet they always seem to dissapear when authorities arrive to question them. My warning to you? stay away with them. they may seem friendly, but there is something odd about these people. they're hiding something.... something great, but also dark and dangerous. you want to take the risk, go ahead. just don't blame me when they take you too. don't go near that mansion on the other side of the forest, either. there's also something off about it. just stay away, and follow the curfew rules.
Though you have a choice to make.
Will you choose to fear the unknown, and stay away? Will you fall victim to the curiosity? Or will you gain strings yourself?
What will be your decision?

Akira enjoys anything cute and fluffy. Especially kittens. However, she also enjoys drawing, watching butterflies, hummingbirds, and reading.

When she was about the age of six was when she first came upon the mansion. Though she couldn't quite remember why, she had been left out in the woods. Not that it mattered though; she had developed and illness that was swiftly draining away at her life. It's not like she wanted to live her life stuck with vampires, as it's not always the most enjoyable of lifestyles. However, she can't complain too much. They did practically raise her and took care of her, for whatever reason. As far as she knows of she's never been fed on, and she is also thankful she was never turned. However, she does need a bit of vampire blood about once a week to survive, as it seems to be enough to stall the illness from progressing. So, generally speaking, she couldn't leave even if the chance was offered, as the vampires are essential for her survival, oddly enough. Though she still has no clue as to why they kept her alive.

From his spot at the counter, Hoshio could see through the front windows to the street outside and even though the streets were busy with people wondering about the cafe was all but dead. There was a couple in the corner who'd gotten tea and pastries and another man up front by the windows reading with coffee, but they were the only two groups that'd come in for an hour now. Of course, it was midday and the coffee cafe was always busier in the morning, but Hoshio had hoped for more people to make the time go by faster. Drumming his fingers on the counter Hoshio checked the time once more, "Only one more hour to go."

So far, the day hadn't turned out to be a bad one, not even close. The weather was warm, a comfortable temperature, not too hot or too cold, with a partly-cloudy sky- nice poofy clouds at that. There was also a light breeze to add to the serenity of the day.
Alas, Akira found herself unable to enjoy the beauty of the day, or laugh at the silly little children playing at the playground. The reason why- it was simply impossible. Her world wasn't bright and sunny, not peaceful and tranquil. Every time she was outside, every day, every hour, she had to be on guard. Outside, she risked encountering the law. Therefore she always kept a mask within her purse, should she encounter trouble. At her so called 'home' she always had to make sure she was doing her job, or she'd be in trouble with them. Unfortunately, that was highly possible today. Her current hunt she'd been befriending hadn't showed yet today. Letting out a small huff, she opened the door to a rather empty-looking cafe, taking a seat at an empty table in the corner.

Hoshio looked up when he heard the bell above the door ring to let him know someone else had walked into the cafe. Putting on his dealing with customer smile Hoshio grabs a menu and makes his way from behind the counter and over to the table where the girl just sat down. She wasn't someone he recognized although she looked to be about the same age he didn't remember her from high school or any of his classes now. Didn't mean she didn't go to his school though, but he was pretty good at remembering faces and names so it was more likely that she was new to town. "Afternoon," He greeted with a smile while sitting the menu down in front of her. "Can I get you started with something to drink today or do you need a few to look over the menu?"

Hearing a voice speaking to her, she turned her head from staring at the window to focusing on the waiter. Judging by looks it appeared he would be of the relatively same age as her, though she knew looks could be deceiving. She knew that lesson all too well. '' Well, for any sort of food-related item I am in need of more time, but drink wise I would just like water.'' A small, friendly smile was on her face, her voice friendly as well, but her eyes were haunted, telling a different story. '' if it's not too much trouble that is. I do realize it's rather close to closing time, and it is not of anyone's interest to risk grocery shopping or what not closer to sundown.'' as soon as she faced the window again, her smile faded, and her voice went monotone.
