Coalstar awoke from his sleep with hazy eyes, he had had a stomach ache for the past few days and was going to visit Icepelt in the medicine cat den.
he frowned heaving himself up feeling himself sway as she stumbled to the medicine cat den, it was still early in the morning so he sat in the Sick cat nest and waited for the medicine cats to wake up.

He could hear the distant sound of birds chirping off in the trees, nature's signal for him to wake up and begin his duties. He felt groggy but nonetheless got up and began making his way out of his own nest before noticing a particular blob of black fur resting in the sick cat's nest. His green eyes studied them for a moment before nudging them gently with his nose, "Hello Coalstar" he greeted quietly as to not disturb the others sleeping in the den nearby, "What brings you here so early?"

Coalstar Smiled "Oh, I have had a belly ache for some time and its starting to scare me." he said groggily but happily, He always had a soft spot for the tom but was also slightly ashamed for his soft spot for medicine cat and how he shouldn't have favorites.

Coalstar smiled at the tom "I dont think its too serious though, i might have eaten some off prey" he murmured in slight discomfort.

He nodded at his words before offering the tom a smile, "Well I could always give you some watermint, it's better to be safe than sorry y'know" Icepelt murmured warmly, "Although if you wish not to have it I won't force it upon you" he added, sitting next to Coalstar as he awaited his decision. He had a tendency to argue against such things, that much he knew from the older tom by observing him from the comforts of his own den, but there was something oddly charming about it too that always made him smile.

Coalstar nodded "Yes please, I just want to feel slightly better" he said laying more comfortably. "How has the medicine cat den been?" he asked hoping to become closer with the tom, he felt like they would be great friends.

Coalstar moved his tail around himself purring before slightly shutting his eyes.

He perked up at the response and quickly trotted away to retrieve the watermint that Coalstar requested. He had been sorting through all his herbs the night before, but luckily that was one of the things he managed to stock up and store before he went to rest.
After a few moments the tom returned with the herb and placed it gently next to the black-furred tom, sitting across from him before answering his previous question, "It's been alright, same as always but not as busy," his gaze drifted back towards the tom as he smiled affectionately, "But besides the bellyache, how have you been Coalstar?"

Coalstar Looked down at the watermint for a moment before looking up "Oh, i've been alright, although that warrior honeyfoot has been getting on my nerves" He said with a slight edge to his voice.
Coalstar shook his head and swiftly ate whe watermint hoping he could stay for awhile longer in the den he started up another conversation,
"Yellowpelt was talking about how she might want one of her kits to become a medicine cat apprentice.." He said hoping for a positive response.

Icepelt chuckled at the mention of Honeyfoot; often he'd hear cats pass by the den complaining of a rather rowdy warrior with that name, so knowing that it's reached the ears and patience of Coalstar was a bit intriguing. At the mention of Yellowpelt wanting one of her kits to become a medicine cat apprentice, he blinked back the momentary shock and excitement of having an apprentice to call his own. "Really? Well if she decides so i'd love to have an apprentice," the tom purred at the thought, his focus on Coalstar before shifting his gaze back outside, "I'll make sure to treat them with care and teach them well."
