lucian leaned back into a chair, the room filled with dim lighting. his eyes roamed over a piece of paper in his hands, sighing as he placed it down and leaned forwards, resting his elbows on the desk. "you expect me to kill someone like him for such a low cost?" he drawled lazily. after laura had left with no words, he completely immersed himself into his work and had grown rather heartless once more.

korra was happily cooking herself some food. she still hunted, but only if it was close to the area. ever since she experimented a few times with actually cooking her meals, she had quickly become obsessed with how much better and healthier it was. clicking her tongue, she then shook some seasoning onto a slab of steak, moving it to the stove to cook afterwards.

Nyx, walked into the kitchen with a smile " It smells great korra, if only i ate food" he smiled gently kissing her on the cheek.


Laura was tied to a chair and sighed impatiently. " I just came here to get the money you owe my father" she stated rolling her eyes as the vampire growled " Well if your father wants the money he can come get it" Laura stomped her foot " Thats not how it works" she watched as tyler snuck behind the vampire before knocking him cold. Then proceeded to untie her hands and feet. " Do you think you could have been faster?!" laura hissed before pushing tyler out of the way as another vampire snuck up behind her. That earned laura a punch to the face, she rubbed the area before sweeping her legs into his, knocking him to the ground.

korra turned her head as nyx entered the kitchen, chuckling. "you get something better to eat; me." she joked with a snicker, flipping the steak over. "well, my blood. still, technically me." she corrected herself, turning to face the male.

lucian entered the rundown building in a casual manner, nodding to some of the guards who froze before quickly jumping into action upon realization. a few moments later, lucian's arms had the thick red liquid splattered across them as he walked down the halls, adrenaline pumping whilst gripping onto his weapon.

Nyx rolled his eyes " Thats way better" he smirked before moving over to the kitchen table he sat down and leaned back into the chair.

Laura, stretched before rummaging through some of the many boxes in the room. " Tyler! help me find the money!" she demanded as she flipped over another box, she found the locked box and sighed. " I got it lets go" she ran out of the room before spotting a large figure with a weapon walking down the hall. She quickly ran back into the room and pressed her self against the wall, waiting for him to walk around the corner so she could knock him out.

korra shook her head with a smirk, eventually plating her meal and moving to sit at the table as well. "do you need to eat?" she questioned nyx before beginning to eat the food.

lucian's head tilted slightly as he heard the slight rush of footsteps before things went silent. he gripped his weapon tighter, not hesitating to continue to walk, his eyes scanning the corridors, remembering the map he had been given so he could navigate through the building and find his target.

Nyx, smiled " Nah, i'm good i can hold off for a few days" he sighed their house was a bit smaller then the last but it was a good size. It just felt empty without laura and lucian.

Laura heard the footsteps getting closer and she tensed, Tyler nodded her head signaling to laura to attack. Taking a deep breath she rounded the corner and went to sweep the man of his feet, not even looking at the face.

korra nodded in reply, continuing to eat. "any word from lucian?" she questioned nyx, seeing as the vampire had left a while ago to continue on with his job. she hadn't heard from laura, either.

lucian heard the movement as whoever it was tried to ambush him, quickly whirling around, his hand grasped onto a neck, slamming the figure into the wall. however, when his eyes met laura's, his body stilled. removing his hand, lucian took a step back, his face impassive. "what are you doing here?" he questioned, holding any emotion from his voice as his arms folded over his chest.

Nyx ran a hand down his face and slowly shook his head. " I have no idea, where he is or what he is even doing" he leaned back into the chair.

Laura gasped as a hand grasped her neck, dropping the locked box as she was slammed into the wall. She clawed at the hand until it let go and she fell to the ground, taking in short and quick breaths. She looked up narrowing her eyes as she recognized the face." What are you doing here?!" she growled back rubbing her neck and slowly standing up. Tyler yelled as she ran towards lucian not knowing who it was.

korra huffed at his response, shaking her head a bit and pointing her fork accusingly at nyx. "you two handle your problems horribly." she pointed out with a slight sigh.

lucian resisted the urge to roll his eyes, his head snapping to the side as he heard a shout. quickly grabbing onto tyler's wrists before she could hurt him, he twirled her around and shoved her towards laura. "what i'm doing here is none of your concern. stay out of the way." he muttered, turning and moving down the halls a bit quicker. he didn't want his target to escape.

" Its not my fault he doesn't call me" he grumbled before tilting his head toward the ceiling. " Plus without him around i can focus on you" he smirked poking the hunter in the arm.

Laura caught tyler as she was shoved next to her. Laura released the girl and rolled her eyes. " If your looking for the boss guy he is already taken care of" she stated crossing her arms. She bent down and grabbed the locked box, she then looked over at tyler then at lucian the urge to follow him was strong but she heard more footsteps approaching and she decided it was best if they left.
