korra pressed her fingers against the crease in her arm, making sure to feel the vein before carefully inserting the needle in, removing the rubber strip once the blood began to flow. "let me know when you get too dizzy." korra instructed, watching the mug as the blood began to stream into it. at her question, korra raised a brow when neither of the men seemed to want to say anything. "well, i don't know much.. really all i've ever heard is myths. but he can probably show up whenever. most likely, he'll leave taunting threats and stuff like the normal bad guys do." she mumbled.

" oh, well hopefully were ready or whatever" she stated glancing at the blood and noticing the shimmer dimming as it flowed into the cup. She looked away feeling sick.

Nyx, tapped his foot impatiently tilting his head slightly. " This would have been much quicker if i used my veins" he stated watching the blood with hunger. He noticed his brothers bad aura and decided to antagonize him like always. " So lucian how does it feel to be rejected? Pushed away? having your older handsome brother take the girl this time....making sure she doesn't die like ....oh what was her name...Naomi!"

lucian listened to nyx, raising a brow and turning his head towards his brother. anger coursed through his veins, but he forced himself to keep it down. korra quickly switched the tub to the other mug once it had a decent amount of blood, removing the needle from laura's arm and wrapping it up afterwards. making sure the mugs were even, she pushed them towards the men with a grimace. lucian reached out and grabbed a mug, bringing it to his lips and letting the warm blood fill his mouth, the hunger for more immediately filling him. he licked his lips, placing the now empty mug down and angling his chair so that he sat in front of nyx in case his brother lunged for more, knowing it was what he wanted to do at the moment.

Laura felt slightly dizzy but didn't show it. As nyx jabbed at lucian she just simply rolled her eyes. Lifting a weak hand in the air she soon fell back onto the bed passing out. Laura's eyes flew open and she looked around, she wasn't in the hotel room anymore. Instead she was somewhere dark, whispers circling around her. Thats when she saw her, her grandmother looking as strong as ever smiled. Before reappearing right in front of her. " Take this" Her grandmother placed a ring on her finger her voice trailing off into the distance before Laura was swallowed back into the darkness once more.

Nyx, finished and watched his brother angling himself to protect the girl. " I don't think you need to worry about me" he stated before pointing past his brother at the red head who seemed to be twitching uncontrollably.

lucian glared at nyx before turning his head to look at laura. rising to his feet, he walked to the bed and gently pressed his fingers against her neck, feeling her pulse. it was a little weak, but not dangerously weak. korra huffed, rising to her feet and moving to the phone, ordering some juice and a dessert for laura. lucian lightly shook the girl's body, not wanting her to wake up and freak out. it didn't seem like a vampire was controlling her mind, and there really wasn't any way for one to, anyways.

Laura's eyes flew open, abruptly sitting up she almost hit lucian. Instead of avoiding his gaze she wrapped her arms around him. Shivering slightly, Pulling away she noticed the new ring on her finger. " How long was i out?"

Nyx watched as lucian walked over to the girl " He saves the day once again" he stated sarcastically.

lucian raised a brow as laura quickly sat up, his muscles tensing in shock as she suddenly hugged him. korra raised a brow with a slight smirk, making quiet kissy noises as she began to clean up. lucian glared at nyx, glancing to laura as she spoke. "a few minutes." he muttered, observing the ring with slight confusion as well as curiosity. "the hell is that?"

Laura glared at the hunter as she made kissy noises. " It felt like way longer" she mumbled her gaze falling away.She looked at the ring. " This is gonna sound weird but my grandma gave it to me" she stated furrowing her brow at the bold statement.

Nyx, moved to the girl examining the ring. " Thats a witch's ring" he stated calmly.

lucian raised a brow as she mentioned her grandma giving it to her, his eyes immediately moving to his brother as he approached, giving him a warning glare. when nyx spoke, lucian looked back to the ring, recognizing the similarities. "your grandmother is a witch?" he questioned laura, korra pausing and chuckling. "witches are a pain in my ass." she declared with a shake of her head.

Laura, gazed at the ring for a few moments. " Yeah, well we thought she was just a crazy old lady" Laura answered. Running a finger over the ring.

Nyx, turned and looked at the hunter " And you're a pain in mine...why are you still here?"
