They all died." she admitted, looking down to where her hands were. After hearing his second statement, she looked up at Pin curiously. "I thought he was one of your friends though. Ya know, the guy you trained with and helped to lead. Why the sudden change of heart?" she asked him, remembering the boy from one as she questioned him. He really was an odd enigma, with his whole kind thing going on. A guy from district two is usually a cold killer with no emotion, so this was very different for not only her but probably the rest of Panem as well.

He frowned at that. He felt bad for her, since he had always wished that his father was dead. "I'm sorry," he said again softly, this time about her family. "No, we weren't friends. I don't really have 'friends'. We were just allies, as with everyone else in our group. I would have killed them in a heartbeat if I wanted to. They didn't mean anything to me." His voice wasn't was soft now as he spoke about them.

What kind of alliance do you join where you don't at least somewhat trust your members to not backstab you? And I do mean literally." she responded, reflecting over her words as she spoke them. "I mean, for me, I do trust you to at least not kill me during the night until you completely heal. Then after that we're gonna have to have a talk." she softly joked. Well, only partially joking around.

"I don't trust anyone," he said, his face completely serious. He didn't respond for the last bit. Instead, he told her, "You should get some rest. I'll keep watch." He was tired himself, and wasn't sure if he'd be able to stay awake, but he also knew that she should get some rest. He'd do his best to stay awake.
