>>Later in the evening, Zea's senses were on edge. Something seemed really off around her in a so very not good way. She cautiously stood from where she had been sleeping and grabbed one of her daggers, stepping forward with the step of a mouse as a young tribute appeared in front of her, an evil gleam in his eye. Z positioned herself in front of Pin, trying to shield him from view as the tribute stepped forward with his long sword. Z didn't hesitate as her last dagger left her fingertips, and the sound of the cannon was heard across the grid as the boy from one crumpled to his feet.

Pin jolted awake when he heard the cannon. He managed to sit partially upright, and he saw Zea standing in front of him. "Zea? What happened?" He noticed the body of a tribute in front of her. Did she...? "Are you hurt?" he asked, unable to keep his concern from entering his voice. Why did he care? Was it because if she died, he would?

>>Zea's face turned to Pin's, twisted in only what could be described as fear and agony. Fear at almost losing her life, agony at taking another's. She shook her head when hearing Pin's answers as a way to talk less, ask later before quickly packing up her things. "I'm fine, but if he's here, that means there's probably others nearby. We need to move. Right now." she said hurriedly. She cautiously made her way to his side, hoisting one of his arms over her shoulders. "Are you able to move your leg in the slightest bit? I know it's going to hurt a lot, but the tissue around the bone has mended and the bleeding has somewhat stopped, but I don't want to move too fast if you're in too much pain." she stated, taking one of her knives and cutting a piece of fabric from her jacket. "If you can, bite onto this so you don't make too much noise. No point in moving if we get caught."

Pin wanted to reassure her, but he couldn't tell if that's what she wanted. He bit his lip, griping her shoulder as he slowly pulled himself up onto his good foot. He gritted his teeth. "Right. As soon as the hovercraft comes, everyone will know where we are." Leaning most of his weight on Zea, he limped a step forward, clenching his jaw from the pain.

>>Zea helped him stand, whispering countless apologies as she helped him leave the area, the fallen tributes sword having been tucked away for Pin once he had fully healed. They walked for hours, and Z could tell Pin was getting really exhausted by the time night fell. Thankfully, she had found a small river with a dug out in the ground, one she could assume that used to be occupied by a wolf or something before the arena was built. She slowly helped Pin into the safe area, laying him on the leaf covered ground before getting to work, heading outside and camouflaging the entrance to make it look like a large hill. She grabbed a few herbs that would help with his injury, mostly with the pain, and came back into the safe house with that as well as some berries for them to share. Zea silently mushed the leaves into a fine paste on a rock before putting the cooling mixture onto his wound, trying to put her healer face on as she heard him softly curse. "I'm sorry about the stinging, but this should help numb the pain. Hopefully your sponsors can send something so that you don't get an infection." she stated, hoping the Capitol's microphones would hear her.

Pin allowed her to take care of him, since he knew that he wasn't able to do it himself. He just grunted, resting his head back on the ground, trying not to look like it hurt him a lot, because it did and he didn't want to look weak. He closed his eyes once she was finished, feeling exhausted both from the walk and the pain it brought. "Thanks," he sighed a bit, since he hadn't thanked her before for saving him.

>>She gave him a small smile, knowing he probably didn't like thanking her but did it anyway. She suddenly hear a beeping from the outside and quickly got to her feet, going out from the small opening she made that only she or anyone who had been inside could see before noticing a small metal container floating down from the sky and landing at her feet. Zea looked around at her surroundings to make sure no one noticed before grabbing the parachute, knowing that whatever was in it was for Pin. As she entered the small opening, the Capitol song sounded and she noticed the fallen tributes, distinctly realizing she had killed the boy from one who had apparently been looking for Pin specifically as well as the fact that there were five that died. Which means they were down to eight tributes left. The two girls from the Career pack, Peter and her, a male from six, a female from eight, and both tributes from ten. She startled at the fact that it meant the Careers were dwindling down rather quickly without Pin to take charge before sitting down next to him and opening the container. As she expected, it was a medicinal paste that she guessed would help speed up his injuries. She lathered it on thick before closing the container. "I'm going to sleep. If you kill me, do it quickly so I don't wake up." she dryly joked, knowing her self-deprecating humor could only go so far in the arena of death.

"I didn't kill him," he said, speaking softer than he even had before with her. "Whee, I mean. I wouldn't have killed someone that young. I didn't see who did it. I didn't see him at all. I would have...protected him had I saw him. I never planned to let him die. I'm sorry."

>>Zea pursed her lips, remembering little Whee. "Thank you for that. Thought you don't need to apologize. That's how the games work, and since eleven's never won we knew what we were getting into. I'm just hoping whoever did it made it as painless as possible. His family was very nice." she said quietly, trying to make sure the Capitol couldn't hear her voice. Anything these days could be seen as rebellion, and the last thing she wanted was for eleven to get worse than it already is. Zea thought a moment before speaking to him again. "Hey Pin, you're pretty different for a guy that comes from two. So I'm gonna help you and you better help make a different in your district, because we both know out of the two of us, you'll probably be the one who ends up winning." she told him, the jokes from earlier gone. "Just make sure if and when I die, it's painless and you make whoever did it pay." she said with a smile. "For Whee."

Pin frowned at that. "You're not dying, Zea. You're going to go back to your family, as a victor." As he said it, he knew that she should. She probably had a nice family to go back to. He didn't. He had been trying to win for herself, but she needed to win for her family as well. "Don't feel sorry about killing that guy. He would have killed you, and then me. He killed others before he got here, I'm sure of it," he said to her, speaking softly.
