kat chuckled, looking at marcella. "dad took her out on a boat date or something. i told them i have no problem watching them." she mused with a shrug, booping nora's little nose.

marcella smiled. “i am so glad i came to help.” she said with a grin as she turned on mean girls, relaxing with the three babies awkwardly lounging on her. “but j did add one into the mix, so i guess its more work.”

kat nodded in agreement, laughing a bit as she lifted the last little child onto her lap, leaning into the couch with a content sigh as the babies immediately settled down to sleep.

marcella grinned, covered in babies. she placed them all on the couch and walked into the kitchen and beginning to make cookies. “i told river not to use that damn motorcycle.” she mumbled as she baked.

later that night, they still hadn't heard from the guys. kat huffed out a worried sigh, glancing to all of the sleeping kids. john and michelle had come back a little while ago, so they took laker and effie. "should we call them? what if something happened?" she asked, chewing on her lower lip.

marcella was starting on dinner, listening to kat. “i’ve already called river and he didn’t answer, but i’ll try again.” she said, pulling out her phone and calling river. “please pick up...” she murmured impatiently.

river was currently in the hotel room, moving some stuff when he heard his phone go off. jogging over, he winced as he realized who was calling. knowing he had to get it over with eventually, river answered the phone and cleared his throat. "hey, beautiful. how has your day been?"

marcella smiled at kat and did a thumbs up. “it was okay, i guess. except for the fact that i have no idea where my fiancé is, but y’know, it was a normal day. hung out with kat and five children.” she answered, stirring the pasta. “i’m making mac n’ cheese.”

river winced slightly at her response. "i'm sorry about that, babe. my favorite mac and cheese?" he questioned, quietly pulling some stuff out of a bag, trying to make it as quiet as possible, not wanting to crinkle the bag.

marcella smiled as she answered. “yeah, i was sort of hoping you’d be back by now, but i can always save some for you.” she said quietly, listening to his surroundings. “kat probably wants to know if maddox is with you.” she said pulling the phone away from her ear. “right, kat!?” she yelled, still quiet not to wake evangeline.
