river smiled to marcella. "i love you too, beautiful." he murmured. as she voiced her concerns, river shook his head. "if they say anything, ill beat them up." he declared, pausing. "ill beat them up once this cast is off." river added with a sheepish grin.

kat rolled her eyes with a small smile at his flirting. "you're insane." she declared with a nod, moving hair out of his eyes. "do you need water, or anything?" she questioned, running her hand through her own hair.

marcella smiled. “and i don’t doubt that for a second.” she said, rubbing the small bump and finally feeling happy since she found out she was pregnant. “i would kiss you but i’d hurt you, probably.”

“yeah, insane about you.” maddox never flirted, unless he was on heavy medication or if he was drunk. he hated flirting, it was cheesy, plus in this case, it showed his feeling towards kat. “i’m all good, baby.”

river smiled as he watched her rub the small bump. their baby. as she spoke of kissing him, he scoffed. "totally worth it. get your cute butt over here." river declared, puckering his lips and making obnoxious kissing noises.

kat laughed at his response, shaking her head in amusement. "okay, baby," she joked, a grin on her lips. "you should get some rest, it will probably make you feel better." kat murmured thoughtfully, resting her head on the mattress, making sure it wasn't near any of his injuries.

marcella rolled her eyes with a smile. she gave him a long kiss before pulling away. “we’ve only been together three or four months, and already a baby.” she noted quietly. she gave him another kiss and sat back down.

maddox scooped kat up, placing her beside him before kissing the top of her head. his injuries were on the other side, and he was glad about that. he drifted off, content.

river hummed, happily returning the kiss. at her words, he nodded slowly, kissing her back once more. "things will work out." he promised the girl, carefully adjusting his body in the bed to grow a bit more comfortable.

kat yelped as maddox scooped her up. "are you stupid?! you could've hurt yourself!" she fussed, huffing as he drifted to sleep anyways. sighing softly, kat slowly changed her position in the bed before glancing to the tv, wincing at the boring show. poor maddox and river.

marcella nodded, sure he was right. “i love you. get some rest.” she murmured, getting comfortable in the seat. “i’ll have to leave for school tomorrow.” she said quietly.

“totally worth it.” maddox murmured, still half asleep. he fell into a full sleep soon after, and stayed that way for a while.

river nodded his head a bit, lowering his head onto the pillow, wincing slightly. "i love you.. come visit me after school?" he questioned hopefully, feeling himself beginning to get tired, his eyes slowly shut. however, he stayed awake, waiting for marcella's response.

kat shook her head in slight amusement, glancing over at maddox and sighing softly as she observed the male. she gently traced her finger along one of his many tattoos, placing a gentle kiss on his cheek before texting seraphina to let her know he seemed decent.

marcella nodded. “i’ll try.” she promised, leaning back in her chair and watching him fall asleep. he looked so peaceful. she realized how lucky she was to have him this past hour or so, and how much she loved him. she knew he would love this baby.

when michelle arrived at the hospital, she knocked on the door, waking river from his sleep as she entered the room and smiled to marcella. looking to her son, sorrow washed over his face as it contorted in pain when he shifted to sit up. "hey, mom." river greeted, his voice tense. michelle huffed, peeking her head out of the room and calling for a nurse to give him more medication. the nurse came in, injecting the medicine into the IV before quietly leaving. "what did i tell you?" she scolded river with a sad sigh.

marcella sighed, closing her eyes. she knew that if she opened them tears would spill put for no reason, and she didn’t like that. she rubbed her stomach with a sigh, before opening her glossy eyes.
