kat nodded, before wincing. "no, they probably will." she declared with a laugh, shaking her head with a sigh. "soo, any hot boys or girls in your life?" she questioned, wiggling her brows playfully at seraphina.

river chuckled. "i meant before you moved back." he spoke, turning to watch marcella walk off. looking back to maddox, he sighed slightly. "that was her family's house. they got in a car crash and she was the only one to make it." he murmured, his voice low.

marcella heard this. “don’t talk about that.” she complained before going to her room, just as sera answered. “weeeell, no.” she said. “unless my bed counts.”

“wow, she’s still grieving, huh?” maddox asked, his tone sympathetic. “soo, how far have ya gone?” he said, waggling his eyebrows.

kat laughed before nodding in agreement, sighing dramatically. "me too." she mused with a small chuckle, turning her head as marcella entered the room again.

river nodded his head at maddox's first words, smirking at his question. "kat isn't exactly thrilled about our showers." he spoke casually, finishing up his water.

marcella sat on the bed. “hey.” she said quietly, leaning back on her pillow. she rubbed her eyes. “what's going on?” she asked them.

maddox’s eyes widened. “marcella doesn’t strike me as that kind of girl, if we’re being honest. but i don’t know her that well.” he remarked. “i moved to greenfield.” he shrugged.

kat looked at marcella with slight concern, gently bumping her hip into the girl. "oh, y'know, talking about how amazing the single life is." kat joked slightly, a small smile on her lips.

river smirked and shrugged. "she's my girl." he spoke a bit proudly, resting his elbows on the table and nodding when maddox mentioned to where he moved. "seems like a decent place."

marcella rolled her eyes. “you’re just jealous.” she smirked. “you probably wanna date maddox, with all his tattoos.” she teased.

“it’s fine, y’know, but no real girls, just hot fake ones.” he shrugged. “we should go out, and get some real dessert, none of marcella’s tarts, i don’t know which one is infected.”

kat snorted, before pausing to think and shrugging. "tattoos are pretty hot, if we're being honest." she spoke, winking playfully before laughing.

river paused to think before nodding. "yeah, it can be hard." he chuckled. as maddox offered real dessert, without the girls tricks, he nodded once again. "yeah, i don't trust anything in that kitchen, now."

marcella rolled her eyes, leaning back. “wanna watch some movies with the boys?” she suggested with a grin. she traced her hand over her inked hand with a sad smile.

“i don’t either.” maddox shrugged, grabbing his jacket. “where do ya wanna go?” he asked.

kat shrugged her shoulders at marcella's suggestion. "yeah, sounds fun." she mused, seeing what marcella was doing, she leaned over and kissed her friend's cheek. "c'mon!"

river rose to his feet, putting his dishes away first before returning to maddox. "we could go to that bakery place not too far?"

marcella ran down the stairs. “hey, guys! wanna watch movies?” she asked, kissing river’s cheek. “actually, we were just going to the bakery.” maddox said, and marcella nodded. “be safe.” she told river as she sat on the couch.
