slight annoyance ticked his jaw as marcella spoke. "last time i checked, that's not something i find funny." he muttered, rising to his feet and exiting the room. what? was she gonna mock him for it now? he scoffed to himself.

marcella sighed. she always ruined things. “i don’t have any more injuries. i’m going.” she remarked as she propped herself up on crutches. she signed the discharge paper. “lets go.” she said angrily. “i’m staying at home for the last time tonight.” she decided, not wanting to be in the same house as river, because she hated the fact the she hurt him.

kat and michelle sighed, following marcella out of the hospital. at her words, michelle shook her head. "no, you're not. you're hurt and you need someone there." she spoke, kat sighing. "i'll go with her." she murmured, knowing marcella was just trying to stay away from river. michelle nodded hesitantly, helping marcella into the car before beginning to drive home.

marcella rode home in silence, using her crutches to walk into the living room of her home. she sighed, curling into a ball as best she could, so her leg stuck out awkwardly. she cried silently. she didn’t mean to make river upset, or leave.

kat followed marcella into her house, quietly shutting the door. making her way to marcella, she sighed sadly and carefully took a seat beside her friend. reaching out, she rubbed marcella's back gently, a frown on her lips.

marcella stood up on her crutches and went to the kitchen. she proceeded to get a tub of ice cram for her and kat to share, then coming back. she handed kat a spoon and began to eat the ice cream.

kat watched curiously as marcella got up only to return with ice cream. she chuckled softly, taking the spoon and scooping some of the delicious treat before putting it into her mouth with a happy hum.

marcella flicked on the tv and channel surfed. she put on a random show before continuing to eat the ice cream. you really screwed it up this time. great job, marcella. river’ll never forgive you, let alone love you again. you will die alone instead of happy, she kept saying in her head.

kat ate the ice cream quietly, shifting a bit on the couch. "how are you feeling? do you need anything?" she finally questioned marcella, glancing over to her friend and offering a small smile.

marcella looked up. “i’m fine, i guess.” she sighed. “jusy wish i didn’t screw everything up, you know, the usual.” she looked at her phone, wondering if she should text ruver.
