”i’ll give you one of my jerseys.” he winked and started cutting up the pancakes and put them on the girls’ high chairs. ava stuff the pieces in her mouth and cole immediately said, “she’s a foody just like you.” he laughed and started eating his food. autumn’s hair was still pretty short but every once in awhile cole would but a little ponytail on the top of her head. he was excited to have an amazing family.

Saffron was up pretty early so she could take the girls to daycare. She left some toast on the table for Cole and then went to drop off the girls. She was pretty excited for him to try out for the football team, but also somewhat nervous.

cole had woken up even earlier and had went to the gym. he came hom, kissed saff’s forehead and then took a quick shower. he packed a big of everything he needed and then went downstairs. “good morning fiancée.” he smiled and kissed her. he sat down and ate his toast. “were the girls okay this morning? sorry i wasn’t here.” he told her and stood up. “do you want coffe saff? i know the coffee maker is your enemy,” he laughed.

[Berenice.]

“Morning to you too.” She said with a smile while cleaning up after the girls. “It’s okay. I’m pretty sure they were arguing with each other in the car, but other than that they were fine. Are you excited to try out for the team?” She then rolled her eyes at what he said. “Haha, very funny.” Saffron said sarcastically. “I’m fine without coffee this morning.”

cole helped saffron and then wiped down the countertops and table. “they are truly sisters. always fighting.” he laughed and hugged saffron from behind. “yeah im excited to try out for the team but also really nervous. oh and you can always come to watch by the way, i know you have a few classes to go to but it would make me happy if you just walked by the field.” he winked and kissed her head. “quick question, do you want me to not talk about out engagement. like keep it more as a secret? it’s up to you.”

[Berenice.]

“I know they are. I just hope they don’t keep fighting when they grow up. I can already hear them screaming at each other now.” Saff said and turned to face him. “Of course I’m going to come and watch. I’ve already told them I’ll catch up with whatever work I miss online so it’ll be fine. And if you want to keep it a secret, you can. But I don’t mind what you do. If it makes you happy then you can tell whoever you like.”

cole laughed a bit. “i’ll make sure you get the best spot. and i might tell a few people about our engagement.” he smiled and went upstairs and got saffron’s brush and a hair band. he ran back downstairs and went up to saffron. “i need the practice so sit down.” he told her. after she was sitting, he brushed her hair and put it in an awful ponytail. “saff, why doesn’t it look right?”

[Berenice.]

“I’ll take your word for it.” Saff nodded, a bit concerned hat he was practicing ponytails in her hair. “You aren’t supposed to rip my hair out in the process.” She laughed and looked in a mirror. “You’ve made it really high and you’ve left a load of bumps in my hair. Not to mention you’ve tied it really tight. I feel like my hair is being pulled out. Good try, though. I’m sure you’ll get there.” Saffron quickly took the ponytail out.

”ok. one more time.” he told her and did it again. he lowered it and smoothed out the bumps. he had sure not to make the hair band too tight around her hair. “it looks a lot better. ok we should started getting ready.” he told her and smiled. he put his old football jacket on saffron. “you look so tiny in it. it’s cute.” he smiled at her.

She waited until he had finished the ponytail, then looked in the mirror. “Hey! That actually looks really good!” Saff laughed, pretty proud of him. “Cole, I look like a really desperate fan girl. But it’s kind of comfy.”
