cole groaned, for he wasn’t keeping anything from her. “im just going clean. im serious. and the next doctor appointment is... tomorrow?” he asked and started picking up. he had been thinking aboutb potty training the girls once the baby was born. “when should we potty train them? and when should we get them actual beds? autumn has been climbing out of her crib lately.”

[Berenice.]

“You never decide to just get up and clean. Something must’ve happened overnight because that’s not Cole.” She laughed and shrugged. “I guess now would be the time to potty train? But I don’t know. I’m just as clueless as you at caring for kids.”

”i don’t know, I won’t clean if you don’t want me to.” he shrugged and walked over to saff. “after the doctors appointment we will go shopping for the baby stuff and potty training stuff.” he smiled and kissed her. he heard the timer go off and smiled. “dinners ready.”

[Berenice.]

“Oh no, you can definitely clean if you want to. It’ll save me a job.” She laughed. “You’re in charge of potty training. I’ll be too busy.” Saffron impatiently waited in the kitchen as the timer went off, not realising how hungry she was.

he got the mac and cheese out of the oven and called in the girls. he put them in their high chairs and put the food in bowls once it cooled down he handed it to everyone and started eating. he smiled when he finished his food. he cleaned up the girls before putting them on the counter. he let them ‘help’ with making the brownies.

[Berenice.]

As per usual, Saffron took longer than everyone else to eat. She was in no rush after all. While the girls helped making the brownies, Saff cleaned her bowl and put it away, catching Ava put her finger in the brownie mix. “Ava, that’s disgusting. Don’t do that.”

cole put the brownies in the oven and yawned. “what time is your appointment tomorrow?” he asked, clearly needing some rest. he had been running around all day and was just tired. he let the girls run off after he put them down on the ground. he smiled softly at saff and yawned again.

[Berenice.]

Saff had to check her phone as she had actually forgotten. “12 o’clock. Is that alright for you? Or are you busy then? I can always change the time.” She replied, watching Autumn and Ava run after each other. Ava had brownie mix all over her face which didn’t surprise her much.

”that’s fine.” he told her and took the brownies out of the oven. he set them down to cool and went to sit on the couch. he closed his eyes and fell into a light sleep. he shifted and woke up instantly when autumn jumped on him. he sighed and rubbed his eyes. “be nice.” he yawned.

Saffron had left to go upstairs as the brownies were baking. She came back downstairs just as Autumn woke Cole up, but snickered as she saw Ava run away with a pen in her hand. “Cole, I think you should wash your face.” He had swirls and scribbles all over his face and Saff had to hold back her giggles. “Ava! Get back here and say sorry!”
