Jax nodded. "Alright- I'll find a few sticks to prop it up, you try and warm up, okay? He asked, surprised at the amount of worry in his voice. He stood, before pulling the blanket out of his bag. "Wanna hold onto this until I'm back?" He asked.

Amory nodded, gathering the blanket around her shoulders. She huddled with the blankets around her, her hands clasped tightly in her lap.

Jax

Jax ran his gaze over her one more time before jogging off, trying to move around to warm himself as he collected sticks. After finding two longs sticks of about the same size and four small ones to pin down the corners of the blanket. When he returned, he found a soft patch of grass and stuck the two long sticks upright in the ground. He grasped the blanket and lay it across them, pinning the edges down with smaller sticks. "Er… Is this okay?" He asked Amory, standing beside her.

Amory

Amory nodded, looking it over. It was a decent shelter. She went inside, curling up into a tight ball to try to warm up. She didn't really feel her toes anymore. She gave Jax as much room as she could given the tight space, but it just barely held the both of them.

Jax

Jax curled up near Amory, hoping the shelter would keep them warm enough for the night. Since he'd been working on making the tent, his fingers were cold rather than numb, but he shivered slightly as he lay on the soft grass.
It took him a while to fall asleep, but when he did, he had dreams of ice and cold. He shivered throughout his sleep, but the conserved heat in the tent was good enough to keep them from getting too cold.

Amory

In the morning, Amory slowly woke up. She found herself curled up beside Jax, with absolutely no room between the both of them. She was wedged as closely as possible to him, trying to get warm. Her hands were folded against his chest, keeping them warm. Her head had been tucked against his collarbone. She blushed faintly, but at least she had been somewhat warm during the night, thanks to Jax.

Jax

Jax slowly woke. He blinked his eyes open, temporarily blinded by the light filtering in through the tent. They had slept in late, yet had been out last night for so long, Jax barely felt rested. Once his vision came back to him, Jax glanced down to see Amory curled up beside him. His hands were tucked next to hers, and his chin was resting against her head.
When he noticed this, Jax recoiled slightly. He felt a blast of cold and tucked closer to Amory. He couldn't tell wether she was awake.

Amory

The moment Jax pulled away, Amory shivered and moved closer to him. She rested her head back against his collarbone, her hands gripping his sides to keep him close so she'd stay warm. She felt his chest rise and fall with each breath, letting the rhythm of it calm her.

Jax blinked as Amory pulled him closer. He glanced down at her, pink-cheeked from the cold. "Good morning." He said quietly, fully awake now.

"Morning," she mumbled against his chest. She snuggled against him, letting his body heat warm her up. "Did you rest?" She lifted her head to peer up at him, her cheeks flushed.
