☆☆☆ Jax ☆☆☆
Jax nodded. Following the North Star would be very helpful, and it would be easy to figure out which way was north with the sun as well. As they walked, Jax spotted a geode, cracked open. "I used to collect those..." He said, watching the crystal glint purple in the sunlight. They kept walking.
Passing a stream, Jax noticed fish, jumping up out of the water happily. He used to go fishing with his father. Jax had once caught a catfish big enough to feed the family for a couple meals.
Grass waved as they walked on, tickling Jax's ankles and shins. The wind blew gently, pushing against them, and the trees danced in the breeze.
Finally, at around mid-day, Jax announced his hunger. "I wonder if we could find some food..." Jax muttered, his stomach rumbling. He should have stopped and tried to catch a fish in the stream, though it would be hard without a rod. Jax just wanted something to eat.
