ren felt a chill down his spine as kyo chuckles during their kiss. how could he be so attractive? even his laugh felt like too much for ren's delicate heart.

he pulls back from kyo to get some air, then leaning closer and kissing him once more. he started to realize he might've been going overboard for a first date, but his heart had taken over. technically it was their second date, anyways.

a part of him felt guilty. he started to worry, was he taking advantage of kyo? because he had broken up with his boyfriend? anxiety filled his stomach.

kyo hummed, watching as ren pulled away before moving his lips back to kyo's. he resisted the urge to grin, just enjoying the many kisses he was giving and receiving.

he was glad ren seemed to feel the same way. now that they had kissed once, it was nearly impossible not to want to lean in and kiss ren breathless. and it didn't seem like either of them cared about being breathless. he certainly didn't.

his hands gently moved to ren's hips, moving his lips up to the male's forehead and placing a few kisses there. he wished they could stay at the lake, forever in this moment. it was amazing, and blissful, and he never wanted it to end.

idiot. his mind scolded him. idiot. of course he likes you, you're a rebound. ren struggled to push the negative thoughts away, reaching up and clinging tightly onto kyo as he kissed him.

his heart thudded as he felt the other touch his hips, flinching slightly but not letting it bother him. he sighs contently, taking a moment to just focus on kyo. he was there. things were going to be okay. ren returns to leaning against kyo.

" this feels too good to be true. " he murmurs softly, hiding his face in kyo's chest, nuzzling gently against the male.

kyo traced small designs on ren's sides, pausing when he flinched. he quickly moved his hands back to ren's back, not wanting to make the male uncomfortable in any way.

when ren spoke, kyo pressed his lips to the top of the other's head with a small hum. "how so?" he murmured curiously. he could agree, as he never imagined that ren would ever reciprocate any of his feelings.

he just hoped ren didn't regret any of it, he would hate to have moved so fast that ren didn't like where they were at. he wanted to go as slow as ren wanted to.

ren stares directly at the other as kyo placed a kiss of his forehead. god, he wanted to kiss him again. kiss him until he was tired. ren let out a quiet sigh.

" us. this. I feel... bad. " he admits with a quiet huff, looking away from the other. his mind was still rebuking him over his choices.

was kyo really really for another relationship? was ren? was he really taking advantage of kyo? he really wanted to do this, but he wanted to make sure kyo was ready and okay with it.

kyo's heart immediately plummeted at ren's words, blinking a few times before it processed. "oh, okay, uh." he muttered quietly, clearing his throat and quickly moving away from ren.

"i'm sorry. i thought.." kyo sighed, shaking his head and forcing a smile. "it's alright. i'll take you home, now?" he suggested, fighting the pain in his chest.

it was his fault. he moved too quick, and ren was just now realizing everything that happened. how could he be so stupid? he pushed too much. kyo reached up, tugging at his hair a bit and closing his eyes, sighing. "i'm sorry. i shouldn't have pushed so much. i didn't know." he mumbled regretfully. did he just ruin everything?

wait. the mood changed. ren watched as kyo drew away from him, feeling his chest tighten. he said something wrong, he most definitely did. he shouldn't of said that.

" no...I... " his expression faltered as kyo went on. pushed? wasn't ren the one who kissed him first? ren shook his head, swallowing the lump in his throat. something was definitely wrong.

" kyo... you, I... you didn't do anything wrong. " he stammered out, feeling bad to have said anything.

kyo sighed, staring at the lake. as ren spoke, his gaze moved to the male, slowly shaking his head. "you said you feel bad about us." he murmured quietly.

"look, it's okay if you don't want this. i don't want you to feel pressured or anything." he added on with a slight smile. the moment came to an end, as they all do.

maybe ren just kissed him because he wanted to confirm that he didn't have feelings for kyo. the male sighed, running his fingers through his hair and offering ren another small smile.

ren watched kyo softly, a frown forming on his face. his eyes widen when kyo repeated his own words, already regretting what he said.

oh god, he did say something wrong. what was he supposed to do now? he watched kyo smile back at him, feeling his heart ache in his chest. he looked away from the other, afraid to make eye contact.

" i'm sorry... " he murmured. he was sorry for taking advantage of kyo, especially after him being heartbroken after an intimate relationship. how could he have been so selfish? stupid. stupid. he berated himself, shaking his head in remorse.

another stab of pain hit his chest as ren apologized. part of him hoped that ren just worded things wrong. "no worries." kyo mumbled, turning away from ren to compose himself before turning back and smiling.

"we should get you home." kyo spoke simply, shoving his hands in his pockets and beginning to walk away from the lake. he was so angry with himself. for letting it go too far.

he paused, peering back to see if ren was coming. everything had come crashing down in a matter of seconds. he was glad tomorrow wasn't a work day, because he probably would've called off. there was no way he'd be able to focus on anything at the moment.
