[miss kobayashi]

ren made it to the back of the store, a small pile of grasses stacked up in the corner near the back door. he grabs a few, waiting for kyo to follow with the rest to show him where they go.

ren when quiet when kyo asked if he got lonely. " lonely? I guess... yeah... I mean, we can't really afford to hire more workers, so I have to hold down the fort myself. it's not too bad, really... " he hums, trying not to sound ungrateful.

ren loved his job, but business wise he was still struggling, and had to accommodate his clients and the family business more than to take care of himself or his well-being. it was exhausting at times, but he knew he had to push through.

kyo watched as ren grabbed the grasses, following his lead and picking some up as well before turning to ren and following after the male to see where to put them.

he listened quietly when ren spoke, nodding slowly. "ah.. i'll try to visit for lunch, more?" he suggested with a small smile. he would hate having to work by himself all day, even if he wasn't the most social person, he still enjoyed having conversations.

glancing around the shop, kyo hummed. "well, for one person, i think you do a pretty damn good job at keeping it in order." he declared with a nod. he could tell ren was a hard worker, and the care he put into each and every arrangement was incredible.

he led the other to a smaller display near the counter, bending over and setting them down with a hum. ren waits for kyo to set down the rest before finishing up the display. he moves back up to his feet and gives a satisfied nod.

" I would love that. " he admits, referring to when kyo suggested to come visit during lunch. it was really nice to have something to look forward to during the day. and not be nearly as lonely.

ren grinned at the compliment, removing his apron and hanging It behind the counter. " ah, it's not much. it's just flowers. " he hums, looking back at his store front proudly, putting his hands on his hips. " and done! I love it when this place is filled full of flowers... it just looks so beautiful. "

kyo watched ren set the grasses down, moving over and copying the male's actions before stepping back, watching as ren adjusted everything. he glanced around the flower shop with a content hum, his attention returning to ren as he spoke.

nodding in reply, kyo smiled. "alright." he mused happily, reminding himself to start making his schedule free around lunch time. he hated that it got cut short yesterday, kyo enjoyed his time with ren. not that he didn't enjoy his job.

blue eyes watched as ren took off the apron and hung it up, smiling at the little pose he was making afterwards. kyo turned his head to admire all of the flowers, nodding once more. "yeah, and that's all thanks to you." kyo pointed out with a grin.

he shrugs, opening up a lower drawer by the register and grabbing his keys. " like I said, it's not much. " ren responds softly, still smiling at the compliment.

" so... " ren murmurs, after a moment of quiet. " i take it you got the note back? " he questions, tilting his head and trying to hide the big smile creeping across his mouth.

it was still hard for him to realize that kyo had actually asked him out on a date. but he was still excited, even if the date didn't go anywhere. he didn't even think kyo had actually liked him at all.

kyo shook his head. "it is much." he argued with a slight chuckle. as ren mentioned the note, a grin spread across his lips and he nodded. "yeah, i liked the way you folded it. isn't that like, origami or something?" he questioned curiously.

shrugging a bit, kyo focused himself on the actual topic. "so, where would you want to go? to dinner, to a movie? to both?" he questioned, leaning against the wall as he looked to ren.

he was extremely glad that ren had accepted the date, he just hoped ren didn't think he had to do it just so it wouldn't be awkward between them. but ren didn't seem like the type of guy to agree to something he didn't want to do.

ren giggled softly, nodding his head. " i did a lot as a kid. it totally sucked, I swear I've made them so much better in the past. " he didn't want to admit that his hands were practically shaking in excitement when he folded the note.

ren hummed in thought. in all honesty, besides group dates, which didn't count because this usually meant a going with a girl, he hadn't been in a real date in a long time. not counting when he first went to dinner with kyo.

" i dunno. " he finally says. " what do you usually like to do? "

kyo shook his head with a grin. "it looked great. if i tried, it'd probably end up looking like a two year old tried to fold a note." he admitted with a soft chuckle. he was good at tattooing, but other things? not so much.

as ren spoke, kyo paused to think. "well, i'm always up for a good movie. maybe we can grab some fast food or something and sneak it into the theater?" he suggested with a small laugh.

"it'd be dinner, at the same time as a movie." kyo nodded with a silly smile, hands stuffed into his front pockets as always. "or, we could have dinner and go for a walk, or something."

ren smiled at the idea of a movie. it had been so long since he had been to a theater, even though he actually liked movies. maybe it would be good to hire a few more people, just so he could do other things besides work.

" okay, yeah! sounds like fun. " he hums softly. " it's been such a long time since I've seen a movie, too. " he adds, twirling the key chain around his finger as he walks to the door.

ren pushes the door open , and starts to lock it away for the evening. he waits for kyo to exit so he could shut it.

kyo hummed as ren agreed to a movie, nodding as ren mentioned not seeing a movie in while. "me either," he admitted, seeing ren beginning to lock up. grasping his bag, kyo quickly exited the store so ren could do what he needed.

once ren was finished with locking up, kyo smiled to the man. "so, what genres of movies do you like?" he questioned, wanting to make sure he didn't take ren to a movie he would end up hating, or being bored by.

checking his phone for the time, he slipped it back into his pocket afterwards. he didn't want to be the cause of ren missing the train, he'd feel terrible if he made the other have to wait for another train.
