Kate crossed her arms, following Mackenzie back upstairs sulkily.

Caspar

Caspar was secretly glad, since he wanted to spend time with her alone.

Olivia

Olivia shook her head. "I thought my mom would be back by now. Even if she has an extra shift she's not normally this late." Olivia sighed softly and turned to Caspar.

Mackenzie

Mackenzie closed the bedroom door behind her and her sister. "Did you set the alarm?" Mackenzie asked her. "For stealing Liv's phone?"

Caspar

Caspar gave her a hug. "I'm sure she's fine," he assured her softly. "She could be stuck in traffic. There's lots of people coming home from work."

Kate

Kate nodded. "It's set up."

Olivia

"I'm allowed to be worried." Olivia said quietly.

Mackenzie

Mackenzie opened the door slightly and called down to Olivia. "How long did they say until the food gets here, Liv?"

Caspar

"I know that, I was just trying to...." He ducked his head down, feeling awkward. "Never mind." He sat down at the kitchen table, looking at the tabletop.

Kate

"Yeah, sis! I'm hungry!" Kate called down.

"I, I know. I'm sorry." Olivia said and took a step back. "It get's here when it gets here!"

Caspar

Caspar traced a circle on the tabletop with his finger. The doorbell rang, signalling that the food had came.

Olivia

Olivia picked up her wallet and payed for the food, putting it on the countertop. "Foods here!"

Mackenzie

Mackenzie ran down the stairs and took her and Kate's food back up to their bedroom.

Caspar

Caspar just realized that his parents would be wondering where he was eventually. He needed to call or text them soon that he was staying over a friend's house, if Olivia still wanted him to.

Kate dug into her food.

Olivia sat in a chair and tapped her fingers on the countertop. She looked at Caspar. "If you want, you can go."
