“Nice to meet you too.” The reason Bella didn’t have friends was because she didn’t want to accidentally get mad at someone. She thought if she got mad at someone her darker side would take over. She knew something was different about Mason, but she didn’t quite know what. “Sometimes popular kids can be snobby and arrogant. Was just making sure you weren’t one of them.” She told him simply, a small smile on her face and shook his hand. “I’ll tell all your friends about it and your girlfriend. If you have one.” She joked with a small laugh, packing her stuff up. “And about that friend thing.. I’m not so sure..”

Mason gave a warm laugh, " Well, I'm glad I'm not the arrogant, snobbish kind of popular kid. " His eyes glittered with a faint impishness as he shook her hand. It was good to see the girl's smile, even if it was just a small one. Bella had told him she didn't have any friends- he hated to see anyone looking lonely; Mason decided to attempt to befriend her if he could. Though, he certainly wasn't going to force himself on her. Mason could tell there was something special about Bella, even if he couldn't tell what. Giving a warm laugh at her playful teasing, he met her smile with a playful grin, " Well, I don't have a girlfriend, but you're welcome to tell the whole school I like to knit." Mason grinned crookedly before standing up and soldering his bag. " Well, we don't have to be friend friends? We could just be... friendly acquaintances?" There was an unmistakable impishness in his tone, but it was still warm and playful as ever. He smiled at her sincerely before adding, " How about I walk you to our next class? I'm headed there anyway and you can tell me all about your art"

Bella smiled softly and put everything in her bag. She still didn't know why he wanted to hang out with her, he was nice though. The sun shining on her eyes as her eyes went lighter in colour. "Yeah, you seem kind of nice compared to others I've met." She stood up and put her bag over her shoulder. "How does someone like you not have a girlfriend? You have a great sense of fashion and you're quite nice, and I would love to tell the whole school you knit." She hoped they wouldn't get to close; she doesn't really want a close friend relationship right now. "Yeah, acquaintances, and sure you can walk me to my next class. Just make sure none of your friends see us together.. that'd be awkward and someone like you can't be see with someone like me." She said softly, biting her lip and stood up. She may actually have a friend. She can't mess this up.

Mason felt a happy warmth in his chest at her compliment. She thought he was nice? Earlier she had seemed like she didn't like him - and truthfully she still seemed a little standoffish, but just maybe Bella was warming up to him? The thought made him smile a bit more. " Well, I'm a part of a very rare breed. " He chuckled warmly, the impish gimmer back in his eyes," Sincerely nice, popular guys with no girlfriends are very hard to come by these days." Mason smiled at Bella with a shrug, " As too why I don't have a girlfriend... its a long story" He admitted, offering a sheepish grin. He had been in a few relationships before, but nothing serious. He always found some excuse to break up the relationship before anyone had the chance to find out what he really was. Mason didn't want to go through that heart wrenching experience again. He didn't fall in love easily, but falling out of love was even harder.

Determined not to let his thoughts turn dark, Mason offered Bella a friendly smile," I don't think I'm the relationship type of guy, but I do appreciate the compliment. I guess I do have a nice fashion sense" He chuckled warmly. Mason was a bit surprised by her request. " Well, if it make you more comfortable that my friends didn't see us walking together..." He offered her a small smile," But really, its none of their business who I hang out with. Its not the end of the world if we're seen together."

She started walking out, making sure he was behind her and turned around. The small smile still on her face. Very rare breed? What an odd choice of words. “Well I don’t know if you can see, but I’ve never been in a relationship. Long story? I’d love to hear it.” She tried to sound as nice as she could, she thought she was okay at talking, definitely not the best. For some reason he felt easier to talk to then most, but she still wanted to figure out what was special about him. “And amen on that the thing about popular guys and girlfriends. Not once have I seen a popular guy without a girlfriend.” Bella didn’t know if he was sad talking about his past relationships, but she didn’t know how to comfort him as she had never been in a relationship to relate.

“Yeah, you’re pretty fancy, your friends would definitely think it’s the end of the world.” She laughed softly and gave him a small, friendly smile. “Seeing a jock with a art dweeb like me? I’d love to see what happens.”

(Sorry it's kind of short - I wrote this in the car on a phone so it was kind of hard so I cut it off a bit, and sorry if they're ever short in general - I'm still a bit new to roleplaying and have only ever done short roleplays. And I edited my OC a bit - just added something.)

(( No worries! It's fine <3 I don't mind shorter replies, but I think yours is a good size! I'm comfortable with writing out a paragraph or two like we're doing ^^ lol I completely understand about writing on a mobile! I use a mobile most of the time for replies and I have a hard time writing them out sometimes. And don't worry about being new! I've been roleplaying for a few years now, but I still have trouble churning out decent replies at times. lol We were all new at one time! It's not a big deal if you make a few mistakes <3 lol I know I make mistakes with my replies all of the time ^^; ))


" Really?" Mason was a little bit surprised that a nice girl like Bella had never been in a relationship before. Though, he did know that she was rather shy and liked to keep to herself. It made sense that she most likely prefered to stay single. Mason flashed her a warm, friendly smile, " Well, I know you'll find the right person for you eventually." He said confidently, though there was a slight hesitance in his voice as continued, " Being in a relationship isn't all sunshine and roses like people make it out to be."Realizing he must have sounded a bit pessimistic, the young alpha gave a sheepish laugh and rubbed the back of his neck. " Sorry, I didn't mean to give you the wrong impression about it. Being in a relationship is great... if you've founf the right person to be with. I guess that's why I haven't gotten a girlfriend yet." Mason chuckled, his cheerful attitude returning as he smiled at Bella. " Maybe i'm a bit old-fashioned, but I'm waiting for the right girl to come along. Like I said, I'm a nice enough guy. I don't want to break any girl's heart with my charms." He wiggled his eyebrows in a playful manner, showing that he was only teasing. Though, Mason was very charming in his own unique way. The dark-haired boy grinned crookedly at Bella, " Well, I think there's no harm in a jock like me hanging out with a talented artist like you. My friends will have to get over it." He winked at her playfully as he walked with her to the class. Mason was nearly always very light-hearted; he like playfully teasing his friends, he meant no harm in his words.

"Yeah. I don't really try and get into relationships, I'm always scared I'll mess up. One reason I don't have friends." She sighed, a hint of sadness in her voice. She still didn't know why he was being nice to her, she couldn't put her finger on what was different about him, but if it meant she had to get close to him she'd try. "How many relationships have you been in? She asked him quietly and bit her lip. I think I might have a crush on him.. Bella thought to herself, the smile on her face fading. But said quietly. "I'm sure whoever gets you next is lucky." and walked with him, staring at the ground. Nothing was wrong she just couldn't think of words to say.

Mason gave her a sad, but understanding look. " I know what you mean" he said with a small smile, " But, I think that's a part of finding the right person. If you never try to have any relationship or friends, you might find yourself getting lonely." He chuckled a bit sadly, rubbing the back of his neck. " I'm terrified of being lonely, maybe that's why I make so many friends. It's hard to put yourself out there, but it's even worse to be alone. ". Mason smiled at her question and gave her a playful nudge, " Isn't that a little personal?" he said, a faint impishness in his eyes. " You don't think I'm a love 'em and leave 'em type do you?" He chuckled warmly, but his slightly more serious tone returned, " I've had three or four relationships in the last couple years, each of them were even worse than the last." Mason rubbed the back of his neck again sheepishly, unsure why he was telling Bella this. Maybe it was foolish, but he trusted her for some reason. He cracked a small smile and looked to the floor, " I dunno, I don't think there's going to be a 'next one' for a while."

"Being lonely is better than being heartbroken." Bella murmured and looked at him. Her old pack had left, and left her alone. She never tried to make friends after that as she couldn't go through that again. "I'd rather never put myself out there, I can't stand having to many friends, I'd never remember their names or even what they look like. I don't understand how you do it." She softly said and continued to walk, putting her head back down "Well four girlfriends, seems like an amazing time. And no, I don't think it's that personal. But I don't really know what to ask and what not to ask." She trusted him a little more then other people she'd met, it's like he has some type of, relation to her that she couldn't quite understand. She tilted her head slightly when he said 'next one'. "Well make sure the next one, is a lucky one."

" It's not easy putting yourself out there, especially the first few times. But, after a while it gets a little easier" He said, looking back at Bella with a small, but honest smile. Mason didn't agree with her statement about loneliness being better than heartbreak, but he kept his mouth shut. He respected her opinion about the matter and besides, he didn't want to argue with her over it. He decided to let the subject drop; Mason didn't often like to discuss his past romances, they were too painful. Being an alpha werewolf, it was tricky for him to find a girlfriend. He had to find someone who was right for him, not to mention didn't mind that he was a werewolf. Who could love a guy that turned into a vicious wolf? Mason looked over at Bella, a strange feeling tugging at his heart. He was already beginning to like the shy girl, but he doubted if she could ever like him back. Mason cracked a tiny smile, a faint sorrow in his eyes, " I promise I'll make sure that the next one is a lucky one".
