Callias went back into his room and closed the door behind him. "Did you hear all that?" he asked softly, sitting down beside her and rubbing her back.

Ilaria

Ilaria smiled and stood up. She got ready and then waited by the door.

Lily
Lily stayed under the covers while he rubbed her back. She did not trust her voice so she just nodded a little. She had no idea if he would see it through the blankets or not but she was not going to say anything.

Lukas
Lukas got ready and then took her hand and walked to the dining room. He sat down at the table and started to eat.

"You're upset," he guessed, speaking softly. "Tell me how I can help. What is troubling you?" He gently pulled her towards him and wrapped his around her.

Ilaria

Once Ilaria had finished eating she took his hand and smiled.

Lily
Lily stayed close to him. "There is nothing you can do. I just have to do more than my best work and try to not be a total mess up that your mom has to fix." She said her voice shaking a little and it was muffled. She kept her head under the covers but did allow him to pull her close and hold her.

Lukas
Lukas ate and then held her hand and got up and went outside. He started to walk down the street leading away from the palace.

Callias

Callias shook his head. "You ae not a mess. She is trying to make you like her. I do not want you to be like her. I love you the way you are, and I do not want you to be anyone else. I wish my mother was not trying to change that." He rubbed her back, holding her close to him.

Ilaria

Ilaria smiled as she followed him down the road. She held on to his hand and laced their fingers together.

Lily
Lily stayed close to him a little longer not saying anything. "I should go." She said and uncovered herself and got dressed. "I really want to take tomorrow off." She said and kissed him before leaving. Her face was a little red and of course that was not something the queen missed. She just wanted to be herself. She did not understand all of this stuff.

Lukas
Lukas smiled and laced his fingers with hers happily. He kissed her cheek. He walked into a small park.

Callias got himself ready and then went into the office. He started on the work, already bored and missing Lily.

Ilaria

Ilaria smiled and walked closely beside him.

Lily
Lily tried really hard and just wanted to do her best. Lily twisted her ankle when trying to curtsy deeper like the queen wanted and it hurt a lot but the queen kept having her try to host the perfect tea. She kept working hard. Her ankle was swelling a little and it hurt a lot.

Lukas
Lukas walked over to the butterfly garden. He looked around. "This is the start of your surprise." He said to her with a smile.

Callias

Callias got part of the list finished, and went to go check on Lily. When he saw her working with an injured ankle, he intervened and put his hand on her arm. "Mother, Lily's hurt. Let her take a break," he said, not asking like he would usually do but almost telling her to do it. He was concerned for Lily, and could not believe that his mother was making her work through it.

Ilaria

Ilaria smiled, and kissed his cheek. She was in awe at all the colourful butterflies.

Lily
Lily looked up at Callias when he walked over. She gave him a small smile. He was such a good guy. She looked at the queen to see what she would say. She sighed when she heard the queen after she had left. She looked at Callias. "Thank you." She said and then walked towards the kitchen to get some ice for her ankle.

The queen
She sighed. "Fine. But I will have you know, she was not complaining about it at all. I will see you in three hours." She said and left.

Lukas
Lukas smiled and looked at her. He was glad that she seemed to like it. He looked around.
