Siaren quieted her growl, a bit perplexed. He didn't seem fearful or particularly willing to hurt her. She took small steps forward, cautiously approaching him. She stood a tail-length away from him and looked up to meet his eyes.

a small smile crept at the corners of bastion's lips, noticing how the creature's demeanor relaxed at his words. in spite of how strange it would've seemed for a human to be talking to a wolf, it did the trick. the male straightened himself, eyes exchanging one last glance in the direction of the wolf. what was interesting though, was its gaze. it held promise, something much more human than he was able to believe. for a moment, his eyes locked, examining the wolf with interest as he stood still among the trees.

Siaren slid a step forward, her ears slowly lifting from being flattened. She tipped her head slightly to the side curiously, taking another small step forward, now closer to the man.

bastion blinked, watching as the wolf drew closer to him. he wasn't really sure what to do, so he rose to his feet, guarding his chest with a pair of folded arms. he shot one last glance over to the wolf, curious to see whether they would follow him or not. up to this point, nothing was entirely predictable in this situation.

Siaren followed the man, curious since he didn't seem to want to harm her. The few people she had come across had tried to kill her the moment they had seen her. She followed closely behind him and poked the back of his knee with her nose, wanting to see how he'd react.
