Personality: She is intelligence, and prefers her solitude. She hasn't been around people since she was 14, so she has no social skills. She doesn't trust easily and has no problem defending herself. She can get fiercely protective and would do anything for someone she loves, even sacrificing herself. She has never loved anyone before and is convinced that she never will. She has excellent in survival skills. She can be kind, but she hides her emotions. She doesn't like to be a burden to others and enjoys feeling useful. She is fast, strong, and a great hunter and fighter. She tries not to judge others before she gets to know them, but believes that in order to protect herself, she must hide away where she can't be seen. She'd rather "die on her feet than live on her knees". She has a strong will to live, and would always keep her word.

bastion paid little mind to the daily bustle of the village. the hunter decided to settle himself on the tree stump just beside his shed of a cottage, slicing away at a slab of wood with his dagger. he peeled the skin of the bark, tossing it into a miscellaneous pile. it was a great time-killer for him, when he wasn't out hunting. the chatter emanating from the village not even a mile away from where his cottage was seemed to have grown louder, ringing in his ears like white noise. as he was used to it, he continued to ignore the noises in spite of himself, whistling a small tune as he resumed his work.

Siaren chased the rabbit through the woods in her wolf form, skittering around the trees. She pushed herself to run faster, knowing that catching the rabbit would mean eating today. Prey was scarce, due to the abundance of hunters in the forest. She didn't realize how close to their village she was getting. She was too focused on chasing her prey.

the faint rustling of the bushes in the far distance caught bastion's immediate attention. slowly, he set the makeshift dagger between his palm and fingers, clenching the handle of it as he rose from the tree stump. the hunter could've easily guessed that it was either a rabbit or some other small rodent, judging by the short-stride footsteps. but there was another pair that seemed to follow it. intrigued, bastion neared the stretch of the forest with ease, the dagger in his fist rising with caution.

The rabbit leapt out of the undergrowth, Siaren following. It suddenly dodged something in front of it, and Siaren only noticed it right before she crashed into it. She tumbled to the ground, knocking it over.

bastion heard the abrupt rustling from the bushes as he ambled over to the outskirts of the forest, catching sight of a rabbit hopping away. the disturbance of the leaves crumbled beneath a figure's weight, and the male grew curious. he knelt down, parting the overgrown branches as he made out a small wolf, hunkered down. a wave of surprise overtook him. wolves were never this close to the village. he tilted his head, eyeing the fallen canis as a million thoughts ran through his head.

Siaren scrambled to her paws and she shook her fur out. She flinched away when she noticed a man standing near her. She flattened her ears against her skull and bared her teeth. She crouched down, reaching to fight or flee at a moment's notice. She growled, her muscles tense.

bastion drew back upon the wolf as it growled, though he didn't flinch. instead, he stood a cautious distance away from the canid, his expression softening. "it's okay.. i don't mean any harm, i promise.." he mumbled. his features irked. he was talking to the wolf as though it were a human being, and he could only imagine how dumb he looked in that moment.
