Ethan got his own stuff, and followed Kolh. "I hope they don't notice us," he whispered.

"Me too," he whispered back. He limped away from the other tribute, constantly tripping over things.

Ethan made sure he walked quietly, not wanting to draw attention to either of them.

They got away from the tribute, only to run into other ones. Kolh stumbled back, hitting his shoulders into Ethan's chest. The pack of Careers faced them, holding their deadly weapons.

Ethan let out a quiet sigh of relief when he got away. He then looked at the Careers in front of them, and wanted to yell in frustration.

Holding onto Ethan's hand, he ran away, limping as fast as he could. They wouldn't stand a chance against the Careers. Unfortunately, to make matters worse, rain began to fall, and soon the forest floor was slippery with mud. Kolh found himself sinking with each step, and he struggled to pull his feet out. He pulled his feet out of the mud, only to get them stuck again. This continued for a while, until his crippled leg weakened further and he couldn't find the strength to pull it out of the mud.

Ethan followed right after him, matching up to his pace. He spared a glance every now and then, hoping that the Careers haven’t followed them. He then panicked as the rain started to fall, and it hust made him more frustrated. “Here, let me help you,” he quickly said, lifting him up in hopes of freeing his leg.
