"Oh," Ethan said. "Well, we'll rest for now," he added shortly afterward.

He closed his eyes, his breathing hoarse. His chest rose up and down as he struggled to breath properly.

Ethan kept watch as Kolh recovered, looking around for any tributes. "No one nearby.." he muttered.

"I wonder where they all went," he said, cracking his eyes open. "I mean, this probably was a move on the Gamemakers' part to draw us all together."

[Felixmiaoun]

“Yeah, same here,” Ethan replied, wondering the same thing. He then gave him a nod of agreement. “It must’ve been. It’s strange though, sinxe I don’t see anyone else here.”

That made him uneasy. Where were they if they weren't here? How far did the wildfire burn? He sat up a bit, leaning back against a tree. His stomach churned a bit, but he didn't throw up.

Ethan decided to sit down, deciding he wouldn't have to worry about any nearby tributes. "That smell was horrible, almost worse than back home," he muttered with a shake of his head.

"Sorry?" he apologized, confused at what he was talking about, and guessed that he was talking about his vomit. He kept looking around, expecting the other tributes to show up.

"Ah no, it was the smell of the smoke," Ethan explained. "I've smelled some pretty bad stuff back home but this was much worse," he said.

"Oh, okay," he said, understanding now what he was talking about. He ducked his head slightly, a bit embarrassed. He had forgotten that this was being televised to the whole nation also. "Yeah, it smells pretty bad," he agreed.
