river nodded slowly. "maybe like a month or two.." he muttered, knowing leon had flown out to see kat a few times as well. "kinda cool though, you'll both be overlapping pregnancies." river spoke, before chuckling. "she's gonna start crying over spilling her drink soon enough."

“ahem.” marci laughed. “over-emotional pregnant lady here.” she waved at him. “i guess its cool, but i’m more nervous for her than i am for myself. the first trimester is the scariest.”

river chuckled, winking and waving back. he nodded slowly, listening to marcella speak about trimesters. "i'm sure she'll do fine. she has leon, and you, and me, and mom." he pointed out.

marcella sighed. “i know. i just can’t help but worry about it.” she admitted, combing her hands through her hair. “it’s scary, and you hear all these stories on the news, which spooks me more.” she smiled

river nodded in understanding. "yeah, but that's because they're uncommon." he pointed out, leaning back onto the bed with a soft yawn. "wanna nap with me?" he questioned hopefully.

“of course, this butterball sucks the life out of me.” marcella spoke softly, gesturing towards her belly, than snuggling close to river, kissing him before falling asleep.

river chuckled softly, keeping his arms outstretched until marcella snuggled into them, wrapping his arms securely around her before drifting off himself.

kat had just woken up when a sudden wave of nausea passed over her, quickly rushing into the bathroom where the contents of her stomach were then emptied. she sighed, flushing the toilet and getting up to brush her teeth.

marcella junped up, hearing kat vomit. she ran to kat’s room. “you okay, hon?” she asked quietly, walking over to her and rubbing her back. “we should tell your mom, shouldn’t we?”

kat smiled gently to marcella and nodded. "yeah, we should." she murmured, hugging the girl with a sigh before heading downstairs and just straight up blurting. "mom i have a bun in my oven." to which michelle nearly spit out her drink. seeing the worry in kat's eyes, she rushed over and hugged her daughter. "it's okay, baby. it's okay." she assured her.

marcella kept her arm on kat’s shoulder as they walked, but ultimately pulling away as the two hugged. she went back up the stairs, laying on river’s bed with a sigh.
