river nodded his head slowly, just beginning to relax until marcella asked the question, his eyes widening. "is kat pregnant?!" he asked, keeping his voice low so he didn't alert anyone.

”what? pfffttt no.” marcella smiled awkwardly. “of course not...” she said, before lowering her voice. “okay, fine, yes. i fainted when she told me. er- twice.”

river passed his hands through his hair, tugging at it. "does leon know? is he gonna take care of them?" he questioned, brows furrowing as she mentioned fainting. "are you okay? did you fall on your stomach? do you need a hot bath, does anything hurt?" he immediately quizzed her.

”yes, leon’s unsure about babies, though. kat says he’s gonna learn by babysitting our estelle.” she sighed. “yes, love. i’m fine. i didn’t fall on my belly. i should be fine, i’ll just use the heating pad on my shoulders, which feel a little bruised. thanks though.”

river slowly relaxed and nodded his head. "do you want a massage?" he questioned her gently, kissing her nose. "i can turn off the lights and light candles, too. help you relax." he offered, brushing some hair out of her eyes.

”that would be amazing.” marcella answered, smiling. “you’re the best. your massages are like, ledgendary.” she said as she sat back down on the bed.

river chuckled and kissed the top of her head. "you can have my legendary massages anytime you want." he spoke, moving to grab some candles, placing them on flat surfaces and lighting them before turning off the lights, the candles beginning to make the room smell nice. he walked over, gently placing his hands on her shoulders and beginning the "legendary massage."

marcella sighed as the massage ended, turning around to look at river. “i’ve made some plans. it’s getting really hard to focus in school, so i’m finishing the year online.” she smiled, giving him a kiss ans holding him close. “how was your day?”

river held marcella in his arms, gently rubbing her arms and nodding at her plans to finish school online. 'that's good.' he spoke. as she asked about his day, he shrugged. "same old. nothing really new until i came home.' he spoke, kissing her cheek. "has estelle kicked again, yet?" he questioned eagerly, hand moving to her stomach.

“all the time.” marcella smiled at his eagerness, and the baby kicked again. “right, there.” she pointed to a spot. “it’s so weird having a living human inside of you.”
