kat turned her head with a smile, shaking it afterwards. "nope! i have blankets, a charger for our phones, pillows, ice cream, and.." she jogged into the kitchen before coming out with a bowl of popcorn. "popcorn! oh, and of course, mean girls." she mused happily. her phone buzzed, and upon checking it, she hummed. "river's done with tryouts, he's on his way to the store now." she informed the girl.

”this is going to be so great!” she smiled. “aw, he’s sweet.” she smiled, sitting on the couch and scrolling through her social media, before turning on mean girls. “we haven’t watched this in so long! i forgot how ‘fetch’ it was!” she giggled.

kat giggled, putting her phone down and nodded. "it's fun." she spoke happily. about an hour later, river returned home, tossing the bag with icecream in it to kat. he then casually placed a small bouquet of roses next to marcella before quickly heading up the stairs and into the bathroom to shower. kat wiggled her brows at marcella with a giggle. she may or may not have told river about what happened. in the middle rose, sat a little ring he had gotten for the girl.

marcella smiled at him. she bit her lip, seeing the glint of the metal. she peeled open the rose and let out a small squeal, taking the ring out, placing it on her finger gently, as if she would shatter it. “kat, what’d you do?” she said with a smirk.

kat giggled softly, shrugging. "i told him you had a rough day." she murmured, handing the tub of ice cream to her friend and glancing to the tv, sipping at her water bottle and settling back into the couch.

marci giggled. “i love you guys.” she said, going into the kitchen and grabbing a spoon, eating the ice cream from the container. she heard the shower turn off. “i should thank him.” she smiled.

kat waved her hand in dismissal. "mhm, i bet you'll thank him." she teased, winking playfully. river stepped out of the shower, wrapping the towel around his waist before moving into his room.

marci shoved kat playfully, smirking. she stood up, jogging up the stairs. she knocked on the door, not wanting to walk in on him naked.

river turned his head at the knock. "hang on." he called out, tugging on some boxers and then sweatpants before making his way to the door, opening it and peering down at marcella. "hey, princess." he greeted, stepping back in case she wanted to come in.

”hey.” she said, stepping in, before wrapping her arms around him, giving him a kiss. “thank you.” she smiled, before pulling her arms away and looking at the ring. “i love it. how did tryouts go?”
