river turned to marcella and nodded his head in response. he figured they should tell kat and leon the news so they could start on the cake and surprise michelle with the news.

marcella came back up, smiling. “i took the medicine.” she murmured quietly, looking at the bottle in her hand and grinning. she opened kat’s door. “listen up.” she said with a grin.

river relaxed as she mentioned taking the medicine, nodding once more. "good, maybe it will help." he mused, following her into kat's room where she and leon were. he leaned against the frame with a slight grin, excitement in his eyes.

“another baby girl.” marcella murmured, taking out an ultrasound picture from her purse. “we’re goung to go bake a pink cake to surprise Michelle.” she told them with a slight grin.

kat squealed in excitement, clapping her hands. "yay! the balance shall be complete!" she joked with a laugh, before nodding. "let us know if you need help." kat murmured to the couple with a smile on her lips.

marcella smiled and shook her head. “i think we’re good.” she said as she grabbed river’s hand and headed out. “because i’ve already made the frosting.” she said, opening the fridge and pointing to a white bowl of frosting. “we just make the batter.”

river followed marcella down the stairs, watching as she showed him the frosting, he nodded in understanding and grabbed a box of white cake mix, along with pink food coloring. "i got one blue and one pink." he explained, grabbing a bowl as well to mix it in.

marcella nodded, walking over to preheat the oven. she grabbed the eggs, oil, and a measuring cup. pouring in the cake mix, she let river do the eggs, oil, and water. “do you want to mix the coloring in?” she asked

river helped pour the rest of the ingredients in, shrugging at her question . "no, you can." he murmured, adding a few drops of the pink food dye before standing aside so the woman could mix everything together.

marcella stirred in the pink dye slowly. she placed the cale pans in the oven, taking them out when the timer beeped. after letting them cool, she frosted it nicely and smiled, hearing estelle and michelle start down the stairs.
