river laughed before nodding his head. "will do, beautiful." he mused, entering the bathroom and leaving the door cracked so if she did have to puke, she wouldn't have to fumble with opening it. stripping down, he stepped into the warm shower, sighing happily.

*a few weeks later - appointment*
marcella woke up, anxiety filling her as she realized the date. feeling nauseous, she stood up and went to the bathroom, emptying her stomach. it was a shame the medicine that had helped with estelle didn’t help now, neither of them did. so, unknown to river, she had stopped taking them

excitement was bubbling in river as he cooked breakfast, eager to see their little child and hear his or her heartbeat. and of course figure out if it was a him or her. "estelle, marcella! breakfast is ready!" he called out to the two girls.

marcella smiled as the child waddled down the stairs, heading down herself. “good morning, honey.” she kissed river’s cheek, giving him a light hug before sitting down to eat.

river kissed the top of marcella's head with a smile. "morning, beautiful. how are you feeling?" he questioned, setting up a plate for estelle and placing it in front of the girl. "be careful, the syrup is suuuper sticky!" he spoke to his daughter, before sitting down himself and beginning to eat.

marcella rolled her eyes. “garbage, as usual.” she answered, smiling as estelle started scolding the syrup bottle. “i told you not to get me sticky! mama! the syrup got me sticky!” she cried out, to which marcella laughed, kissing the top of the toddler’s head.

river responded with a gentle frown, lightly rubbing her shoulder. "a few months left." he murmured, laughing as estelle blamed the syrup bottle. he rose to his feet, grabbing a paper towel and wetting it with some water. he rung out the extra moisture before moving to his daughter, gently wiping her sticky hands and mouth. "all clean."

marcella looked down. “four months and 27 days.” she murmured, watching as he washed estelles face. “thanks dada!” estelle grinned. “we should get going on our “date”. that is what we’re telling michelle, right?”

river chuckled, kissing her little nose. turning to marcella, he nodded his head. "yep, a date." he confirmed, glancing down to estelle. "i think we should leave her here, she's proven to not keep many things to herself." he laughed.

marcella smiled. “that’s what i was thinking. let me tell you mom to watch her while we go on her date.” marcella said with a grin as she scooped estelle up and walked upstairs, knocking on michelle’s door.
