river smiled happily, returning the kiss. "i love you, marcella." he murmured gently. his head tilted a bit at her next words, before grinning once she had completed the sentence. "she is very beautiful. just like her mother. obviously."

“she has your hair.” marcella smiled, hearing a wail and jumping up and going to the nursery. “shh, baby. mama’s here.” she said softly, the baby clutched to her chest.

river chuckled as marcella pointed out that estelle seemed to have his hair. hearing the cry, he also got up, following the woman into the nursery where she had already lifted estelle to her chest. he leaned against the wall, smiling slightly.

marcella sat in a chair, calming the small child. she kissed estelle’s tiny forehead before setting her down to sleep, the child immediately crying. she picked up the baby again, handing her to river, the baby’s cries halting.

river watched silently as marcella calmed estelle down, amusement filling his eyes as she began crying the second she was placed down again. he chuckled softly, gently taking the small girl and glancing down, letting her hand grip his finger. "someone likes the attention, hmm?" river spoke gently, his arm slightly rocking the young child.

marcella laughed at his comment. “hmm, so do i.” she smiled, kissing his forehead. she ran her fingers through his hair, placing her free thumb on estelle’s cheek.

river grinned to marcella, kissing her nose gently before kissing estelle's as well. he sighed in contentment, both with the fact he had his daughter and his future wife within arms reach, and the fingers running through his hair.

estelle let out another tiny yawn, starting to fall asleep in river’s arms. marcella let out another small squeal, her daughter being so adorable. “isn’t that the cutsst thing ever?”

river beamed at estelle's little yawn as she began to get sleepy. "she's so cute." he murmured happily, pouting. "i don't wanna put her back in the crib." he complained quietly.

”me neither.” marcella murmured with a grin. “she’s too precious.” she smiled. “i wonder if she’ll be more of a mommy’s girl or daddy’s girl.” she mused.
