kat giggled at leon, shaking her head and lightly slapping his arm. river soon returned, hiding a piece of paper behind his back as he took a seat beside marcella, gently rubbing her arm before casually presenting the discharge release form, signed by the doctor. "we can take estelle and you home, now."

marcella’s eyes widened. “really?” she grinned, standing up and giving him a long kiss, picking up their daughter soon after. she took they baby carrier seat and placed her in it lovingly. “we’re going home, stella.”

river chuckled softly, returning the kiss. "you have to take it easy." he ordered the girl, getting the rest of their stuff packed whilst she got estelle in the carrier. "ready?" he questioned gently, kissing the top of marcella's head and smiling down at their daughter.

“yep.” marcella grinned, kissing his cheek. as they exited the hospital, she heard a small cry. the wind was cold against the infant’s face. marcella pulled down the cover if the carrier, opening it once she buckled the seat in.

river followed marcella outside, letting her buckle estelle in before opening the car door for marcella, crossing to the driver's side and sliding in. once all three of them were secured in, he began driving home, a grin on his lips.

when they reached the house, marcella unbuckled estelle’s seat, carrying her inside. she waited for river before walking upstairs and opening the door to estelle’s room.

river exited the car as marcella did, following his little family inside and up the stairs into estelle's nursery. "welcome home, pretty girl." he murmured to their daughter, carefully taking her out of the carrier.

marcella smiled at the two, walking over to the dresser and grabbing an adorable onesie, taking the baby and placing her on the changing table.

river let marcella take estelle, leaning against the wall as she changed their daughter into a onesie, chuckling softly at how cute the infant looked in the clothes. "so precious."

marcella nodded, the infantletting out a small yawn. marcella squealed. “so… adorable.” she murmured, placing the child in the crib.
