i read your message and totally forgot to even respond. i'll try and get a starter up if
you guys want to wait for my slow butt. but if anyone wants to go ahead and post if th
ey have something in mind then go right ahead lol
also @ hippie district.
i don't remember anyone attack you for making prague? there's nothing wrong with your
character, and tbh there isn't anything with the real life prague himself. he's just not a
pitbull, he's a mutt. and i just felt like mentioning that because a lot of people use pit
bull as an umbrella term, which it really isn't. it's a shortened named for american pit
bull terrier, not every single bully breed. sorry if you felt that anyone attacked you.

beta | female | three years | mood;; neutral | tags;; valentine, pack
though anxious for their departure that would lead them into the city, the beta would keep a strong grip on her emotions. she sat silently in the dirt, her tail wrapped around the side of one rear leg. faint chatter spread throughout the pack. she could catch few words but those that she heard were mostly on the subject of what they expected to see when everyone had arrived to the town. dahlia had visited only a handful of times while the vast majority of the pack dogs had spent their lives in the woods. some even knew of the country side but she didn't. from what she had gathered from the city, dahlia had decided that it wasn't for her. it was more complex than the forest and not nearly as serene. it seemed that there was hardly any space to walk when she had been there. humans crowded the sidewalks while dangerous vehicles occupied the road. food was easily found but only in small amounts. dahlia dreaded the commotion, but the place they were going didn't seem quite as bad from what valentine had explained. they were going to travel to a town from the side of the city but not directly in the middle of the city: which was what dahlia had been in. she didn't know a difference in a town or a city though, they both sounded the same to her. dahlia would be nervous, but the beta trusted in valentine's words and understood that he would know what'd be best for the pack. it seemed the occurrence of animals to hunt was decreasing significantly for them for an unknown reason.
she eventually pulled herself out of her thoughts. being such an intelligent individual caused her to often get stuck in her mind and made it rather easy for her to sit and ponder subjects for endless time. dahlia shook her head slightly, reminding herself not to worry about what would be ahead and only to keep herself in her current place. she brushed her tongue over her jowls briefly as a hungry feeling set on her stomach. discomfort came quickly with the growls from her belly. the beta raised her ears and placed soft eyes towards valentine. she lifted to four paws gradually before briskly trotting in the alpha's direction. upon reaching him, she offered a kind smile to the male. "i'm going to the lake, i'll return in just a moment." dahlia woofed, notifying him that she'd be away. it'd be a terrible thing to keep the pack waiting... even more so to be left behind. that's why the dog would be quick to the water and quick to return. she turned on a heel and went on her way to the lake. it wasn't very far from the pack's territory so it took only a few minutes of trotting and the water was into view. the female came to a shallow part in the water and dipped her nose down. she lapped at the water and filled her stomach which held little food. dahlia had hoped for this to subside her hunger, but it made her feel slightly sick instead. worried to become nauseous on the way back to the camp she steadied herself on her paws and closed her eyes for some time. they did have some food at the territory, but she left it alone so that the other pack dogs could eat and wouldn't be hungry before a walk to the town. her stubborn loyalty might benefit the pack now but it would get her sick and without a healthy beta next to the alpha, it'd be worse for everyone in the long run. with a short sigh she began to move towards the camp and pushed away her hunger. day looked around the camp and was happy to see that the subordinates were placed just how they were before. "i hope i didn't keep anyone waiting." dahlia settled at the alpha's side. observing the pack to see that everyone was okay before they were to leave. an uncomfortable feeling continued to grip at her frame, but she tried not to let it show. she was the beta and would need to keep herself in line for the everyone else. it was obvious to most that she took her rank in the pack quite seriously. dahlia felt honored to be chosen for second in command and was determined to prove that she was fit to be beta, often feeling pressured to become a better dog. never taking time away from working and helping left her tired but she hid it well. she felt as though everything needed to be perfect constantly. dahlia knew that the alpha was in tune with his, and even her senses by now. he was a very keen dog and seemed very quick to notice when something was off. she held her head and ears just low enough for someone to notice she was off in a way, even if she didn't notice this on her own.

subordinate | male | four years | mood;; excited | tags;; artemis
silver eyes stared eagerly towards another pack dog. the pack member he was closest to in friendship was artemis. a beautiful doberman who owned a slim but muscular frame, and a slick black coat with some brown markings. she stood tall on long legs although oliver towered over everyone, even the doberman didn't quite match to his outstanding height of 31 inches. of course this size would be a big difference to other breeds but normal for a great dane like himself. great danes would usually be seen as regal and graceful dogs, and oliver was the exact opposite of those. it seemed he never learned how to manage his long legs and even his ears wouldn't stay in place. the male often tripped over things and had his ears flopped one way or the other, sometimes dropping over his eyes. he is definitely a very...quirky dog. after watching artemis eagerly for some time, the brute made the decision that she was free to talk. bounding over to the doberman, he grinned brightly at her. he placed himself roughly two feet from the other dog and tapped his tail with an excited flow throughout his body. "today's the day! can you believe it?! we get to go on an adventure!" the male barked, paws tapping happily in the dirt below. most dogs didn't see this as a fun trip as ollie did, they just knew they needed to move areas because prey was running unusually low. actually, the dane was oblivious to why they would need to move away from the forest. but he preferred to think "outside of the box" anyways. this was just another opportunity for fun!
the brute took a glance around at the other subordinates, waiting for a sign that they were beginning to move. oliver could already feel himself losing patience. not feeling frustrated, just overly excited about the town they were going to. from what he observed the other dogs didn't seem quite as excited as he was. although he happened to always be more excited than anyone else would be. he felt there was always something for him to look forward to, though. that was most likely the cause for his optimistic demeanor. the dane is a fun and happy go lucky dog, but to some they just see him as annoying.

( pack healer ) ( female ) ( tags: dahlia )
The healer sat calmly, just to the side of the rest of the pack as she studied the world in front of them; the venture they were about to take would be a large one. Much of the pack, including herself, hadn't ventured from the forest in many years if at all. Yet here they were, preparing to dive deep into the city and try to find a new home within the concrete jungle. It especially made athena nervous. She'd be without direct access to much of the plant life she relied on to help the dogs within the pack. They'd have to completely recreate her efficient system at collecting and organizing the herbs and plants. In all of this that was the only thing that made her even slightly concerned. Her system was such a well-oiled machine and now she'd have to completely redo it. She'd have to decide whether to search in the city or go back into the forest's in order to collect. Taking a deep breath she relaxed her mind. She'd figure it out. She always did.
Her eyes suddenly flitted over towards the alpha and beta who sat side by side in front of her. Athena studied the two carefully - or more specifically Day. The healer's observant nature had made her adequate in detecting when another dog was feeling a bit under the weather. Dahlia hadn't been eating lately, though many of them had been scarcely eating in favor of allowing others the meal, a pack full of selfless dogs it seemed. Selfless to the point of making themselves sick apparently. She sighed in her typical, stern, motherly way at the realization. The darkly colored dog backed up slightly, enough for the two small rats that had been beneath her to no longer be covered by her fur. She always came prepared.
She reached down and grabbed the tail of one of them gently in her mouth before standing up and padding over to the beta slowly. When she reached the other she sat down and gently laid the rat at Day's feet, "You won't be going anywhere until you've eaten something my dear, you look ready to pass out." Athena whispered it quietly, keeping the short comment between the two before she stood and returned to her former place but not before passing an observant eye over the others. The last thing they'd need is for a dog to pass out or get too sick to continue making the move. Athena was intent on making sure everyone made it safely.

( loner ) ( male ) ( tags: open )
The white mutt woke with a sudden startle, his endless dreams shocked him awake with the final closing of a pair of jaws. His head swung wildly around and one milky white eye seemed to scan the alley enclosing him. Suddenly everything around him stopped and the male stopped with it. "What was it you said Laurel?" Had anyone been in ear range they'd think the dog was just talking to another but if they saw him it'd be plainly obvious he was alone, speaking to the void. Suddenly he laughed manically, tossing his head back and rolling to his side until he could scarcely catch his breath, "Is that so? Well than!" Without warning he bolted forward, running to the edge of the alley where he stopped and peered out at the street before him. It was empty but by the way he looked side to side one would think the city was bustling with activity. In the mutt's mind it was too, he often saw things that weren't there or remembered things from long ago that no longer happened.
The white dog edged slowly out of alley before trotting happily down the street, his tail wagging rapidly behind him and a large smile plastered across his muzzle. The streets used to bustle with life, humans shouted and the cars roared in life; it had always been fantastically full of life though now the streets were silent except for groans. Of course these facts didn't seem to register with the dog they called prophet. His mind was lost long ago and nowadays his moments of lucidness were becoming more and more rare. He'd go weeks without them know and honestly he was happier that way, he got scared when he realized what the world had come to.
✶ charlie
( pack subordinate ) ( male ) ( tags: open )
Charlie hung at the back of the pack, sitting patiently as he protected the rear from any possible attackers, he took his job very seriously and always remained alert. He felt the need to be especially alert in their present situation. He had ventured into the city with some of the others many times and knew just how dangerous it could really be. Danger lurked around every corner and if you weren't careful you could fall prey to something craftier than you. And now? Now they were moving into the city to make a new home of it. It set him on edge, the forest was safe for them and they encountered few predators; however, the prey in the forest was becoming more scarce by the day and something had to be done to help correct it. This was the answer, this was the answer to finding prey even if it was a dangerous option.
He glanced around at the pack sitting in front of him, he loved each of these dogs in their own special way, even the perpetually grumpy Fantasia. The large male felt a rise of happiness in him and behind his heavy frame his tail swung slowly back and forth, he felt truly happy to be surrounded by such a wonderful pack. He felt prideful at the opportunity to protect those around him and be accepted by them just the same. He'd be alone for much of his life when himself and his siblings were abandoned at a young age, than slowly losing his siblings to multiple causes. He was left alone at eight months old, he was a social dog and being alone like that had left him miserable. Sure he came across others slowly but as time went on it seemed everyone eventually left him alone once again. But a few months ago his luck changed when he came across Dahlia who had invited him into the pack where he now called home. For once the estrela was at peace with his place in life.

────A thick leather collar that was slightly loose bounced with each heavy step the Presa took. The tags that remained still clanked and jingled together, she was one of the few dogs that still had a collar - and whenever others heard the clanking of metal tags, they knew immediately who it was. Fantasia was mostly avoided by the others, and she didn't mind if anything she was glad they minded their own business. She was just a part of the pack because of her size and her nature towards loners. Valentine trusted her, for some reason, and gave her the job as a guard - and she was damn good at it. Keeping loners away was her job, and she loved it. Large paws pressed into the ground, there was a large circular border around the territory that had been made over months of trekking over it. The main camp was mostly covered in a pale grass, but this path made by the guards had been crushed into the gritty dirt.
The massive guard dog stopped in her tracks, small, open ears twisted slightly atop her crown, and her nose twitched. Persimmon orbs shone in the early morning light and narrowed threateningly at a figure in the distance. The Presa's thin black lips straightened into a line and then curled upward, she would gladly show off her large pearly whites to any dog, without any hesitation. She rose her head high above her bulking shoulders and let out a deafening roar of a bark to warn this dog. But the figure didn't even move, it just stood there, staring at her. Snarling, the Presa female broke her path and began to run towards this dog, who was a bit larger than her once she got closer. It didn't scare her in the least bit, however, and she continued.
Fantasia skidded to a stop when she became inches from this dog's face; she bore her fangs, a snarl rumbled from the depths of her throat and glared at this large brute without ever faltering. "What are you doing here?" She growled hackles raised and ears pushed forward as far as they would go.

────The air was cold, a calm breeze broke through the trees and across the gravel, and brushed against the very thinly furred back of the pit bull. Despite winter being over with and summer approaching, it never really got warm anymore. Maybe for the dogs with longer, thicker fur, but Bourbon wasn't that lucky. Small, chocolate eyes flickered open, checking his surroundings. The world was still grey and dismal, and at this point, Bourbon never expected it to revert to the way it was before. Despite being sensitive to the colder weather, Bourbon much instead preferred a cool breeze as opposed to the scorching hot. Finally, he arose - pushing himself into a bow position to stretch out his lanky and muscled frame.
Bourbon was pretty content being a loner. He did somewhat desire to be a part of the pack, but another part of him decided that it wouldn't be the best idea. He would watch them from afar. There were two females in the pack he particularly noticed, one of them he was slightly interested in speaking to than the other. But he had never gotten around to it. There were guards that circled the territory and whenever one would make their way around he would dash away and find someplace where he wouldn't be confronted. But today, he noticed that the large guard (Fantasia), the one that was at least twice his size, was busy interrogating another loner it seemed.
This would be the perfect chance to get a little closer and maybe, just maybe, spark up a conversation.

male | kangel | loner | no romance | tags; fantasia
large paws connected with the ground, a cool breeze fluffed through his fur as the male dog slowly walked across the hills. his ears twitched lost in his own thoughts. memories flooded his brain the brute was old, his muzzle greying and his left eye cloudy. the brute was never one for other dogs, true enough he had been around them before but his paranoia kept him from trusting anyone. although he uses to be close to one dog, in particular, a long time ago. he could still fondly remember her, her dark brindle pelt and her cold eyes. he let out a small chuckle, the male remembered first meeting fantasia, she was unlike others around him at the time. she was cold, but that made him all the more willing to get close to her.
his large frame stopped when he noticed a figure in the distance. he must have come to close to the pack's territory but he didn't much care. his gaze landed on the other canine, he could tell it was large but still smaller than him but not by much. as he moved to get a better look he noticed something. for some reason, the animal felt familiar to him, but he could not put his finger on it. a few moments later the female came up to him teeth bared. when he heard her voice he instantly knew who it was. a chuckle emerged from his lips. "i live here." he said sarcastically his ears pinned down to his skull as the brute admired the female in front of him. "you would think a lady would remember her own mate." his coat fluffed up as another cool breeze blew through his coat. sitting himself down in front of the female he let out a small half smirk, skinner was in no way afraid of his former mate and in-fact still felt great love for her. even though she currently had her teeth inches from his black nose.
──Whiskey──
female | bull terrier | omega | secreat | tags; burbon
the six-year-old female arose from her sleeping hole. being the packs only omega she was often looked down on by the other dogs which bothered her more then she liked to admit. her oddly shaped body giving a good stretch as her mouth opened in a large yawn. being the packs only omega made her feel worthless sometimes, floppy ears moved as she lifted her head towards the sky. her short coat didn't help her deal with the cold air, it was at this time she envied the larger dogs with furry coats. the bull terrier gave her body a good shake removing the loose dirt that covered her body, the small building she rested in creaked with age her claws clicking on the ground as the female exited through a small hole in the wall.
she moved trotting quietly down the street, her tongue running along her oddly shaped muzzle. you could say she was nervous about this whole event of the sickness, it bothered her that her human refused to take her simply shoving a bunch of food in her bowl and driving off. her ears pinned down as she remembered the night he left her. shaking her skull harshly the female forced those thoughts out of her mind. no, she did not need to be reminded of her past. brown eyes followed the horizon line she noticed a figure. whiskey knew a few loners lived around the pack, one she was interested in getting to know more about, she always did like making new friends. her tail wiggled as she trotted quietly down the road heading towards the figure. as she got closer she could begin to make out the figure, the lean muscles of the brute were easily seen under his black pelt. she let out a small smile unlike the pack guards whiskey didn't mind the loners, and actually enjoyed getting to know them, especially bourbon. she let out a small yip to let the brute know she was there before closing the gap between them. "good morning bourbon! starting your day of creeping early I see." she chuckled softly joking with the brute before looking at him her tail moving softly from side to side, but she still was in a semi submissive manner.

────Tears soaked the cheeks of the German shepherd’s face, the cold wind blew through his pelt. Although double coated, it felt like it was piercing right through it and biting at his skin, even as he drew closer towards the body of Terrentius, Valentine’s body still felt cold. The wind against the dampness of his cheeks stung him like stepping into a cold lake for the first time. Val would bury his cold nose into the thick underfur of Terrentius’ neck, curling his frame up and around the other canine’s body to keep him warm, even though… it wouldn’t have mattered. It would be the first day of Valentine’s life where he would have to go on without Terrentius, and he wasn’t ready. He would never be ready, in fact. This moment would haunt him for life, it proved to do so almost every night in his dreams. Terrentius would visit him, only to die the same way, over and over. No one in the pack would ever know about this, though, or so he hoped.
────POP!
────Valentine woke with a start, a gun went off in his dream, and scared him just as much as it did when it really happened years ago. Although he was awake now, Val could recall every last moment he had with the other brute. It would still create an aching pain that felt like a spear right through his chest, sometimes, it would throb, sometimes it tingled, today, it just… ached. He wasn’t sure how to describe it. Not that he needed to, there would be no need to explain the feeling. Instead, he would focus on the duties he had as alpha. But, part of him… a big part of him… didn’t really want to get up and face his pack. Even though, if he stayed hidden away in the den, his thoughts would consume him.
────Valentine waited for just a moment, waiting for the pain to subside before he drug his head off of his forearms and elevated it to see outside the jaw of the den. It was morning, he was pretty sure. They were in the forest, they were not exactly hidden away and surrounded by thick fauna, but there were plenty of trees and not to mention for the past week or so the sky had been taken over by a dark overcast of clouds. It never really rained heavily, however, it sprinkled from time to time, but never really stormed. Yet, the abundance of clouds blotting out the sun made it darker than it would have been on a hot summer day. Valentine huffed, letting his ears lower against his crown as he silently debated on how to begin this day. He knew exactly what he needed to say, and how to bring it up, however, he didn’t quite believe that his entire pack would agree with him.
──── Valentine finally got up, his joints creaked, although he was positive he was not that old just yet. As he stepped outside of his den, he was pleasantly surprised to see the lot of his members already roused and beginning their daily routines. He hated to stop the flow of work, but in this case, it was needed. He took a few steps further forward and was greeted by the sight of Dahlia returning to camp. He thought she had left, but he couldn’t remember if he had just dreamed that, or not. He decided he would tell everyone a good morning during the meeting. So he craned his crown back, lifting his muzzle into the air and allowing a bellow of a howl to release from his jaw.

────“I live here,” the massive brute chortled in response. Fantasia’s brow furrowed, “You would think a lady would remember her own mate,” the Kangal added, sitting on his haunches just before Fantasia could speak. No, this wasn’t Skinner. Skinner had died, he died a long time ago. The Presa snarled, using her large paws to push into the ground and propel herself forward quickly, using her weight to collide into the brute - slamming his back against the dirt. The beast snarled, pinning him to the ground with her paws on either side of his head. “You live here?!” Her eyes widened but pupils narrowed into slits, rage was taking over her mind. “Since when? If you are who I think you are then you have lied to me for years, I watched you fall off that cliff!” Fantasia would growl, spitting on the ground just above the kangal’s head. “So you faked your death? I don’t believe it, how?”

────Bourbon smiled widely as the Bull Terrier made her way towards him. They were quite a ways from pack grounds, at least, far enough none of the guards would see them together. Sitting on his haunches, the brute rose a leg to scratch behind his ear. “You bet, the early bird gets the worm, you know?” Chuckling softly, he gave the female a friendly wag of his tail. “What about you? You don’t come to this part of the city very often,” Bourbon and the other loners often scavenged the city, sometimes the pack dogs would do it too, but he noticed a lot of the pack members had been doing it more frequently… something must have been going on. Suddenly, his ears perked up atop his cranium, a howl of a dog in the distance startled him. Bourbon had hoped that he hadn’t been caught, “Sounds like a pack dog… you best be getting back to see what they want… I wouldn’t want you getting in trouble,” he murmured to Whiskey. “If it doesn’t concern you then, well, you know… maybe you could come back and join me in chasing birds?”

Artemis || 1 yr. 4 mo. || Female || Subordinate || Doberman Pinscher || Tag; Oliver
Artemis kicked her legs in her sleep as if she were running, smiling and snorting happily in her deep sleep. She pictured large fields filled with tall, lush grasses and wildflowers that she ran through with her owner. She threw a stick, and Artemis chased after it with hers flapping cutely behind her. Over and over again, she would bring it back to her owner. When she was tired, she would plop down into the grass and squint in the golden sunlight as her owner laid beside her.
Her tail wiggled in her sleep, and she gently woke up facing the base of a hollowed out tree that she took refuge in. She whined slightly when her owner was gone, remembering how she had gotten into a nasty car accident when somebody who had gotten infected collided with her at a busy intersection not too long before. Her sadness was cut short when she heard the long, low howl of Valentina. Artemis jumped to her pointy feet and poked her ears up, ducking out from the tree and nearly tripping over her paws as she made her way towards where the rest of the dogs were gathered. The weather was warm, but she knew what that howl meant. Adventure! Well, not really but that's how she preferred to look at it. Technically, it meant it was time to move onto new grounds because pray was running too scarce.
As she was running towards the pack, she skidded to a stop as the horribly sour scent of rotting flesh filled her nose and sunk into her brain. Artemis gagged and rolled her eyes back, shaking her head and sneezing at how vile the scent was. She giggled a little bit, poking her tongue out to avoid breathing in the scent. "Yep, it's definitely time to move on..." She said to herself, beginning to walk again.
She saw Oliver approach her with a maximum amount of excitement in his tone and body language, and she met him with just as much, if not more, excitement and energy. She stood on her toes and her face brightened. "I know! I'm so excited!" She barked, nearly jumping with joy. Her tail was wagging a mile a minute. She had learned never to grow too close with the temporary homes that the pack decided to take refuge in for that week, or day, or hour because they moved too much and leaving would be too hard if she had gotten too close.
"Where do you think we'll go this time?" She asked, beginning to walk again as she looked up at the tall spotted male.
[[ok this has nothing to do with you or anyone else but i might choose another male to put in this roleplay because honestly i'm not feeling prague for this, so is it all right if i choose another male? if not that's cool too c: i'll also change his breed if i can't change him now that i'm not so lazy cuz literally all i did was copy and paste his form from a different character and smack on a photo on it and call it a day]]

she sat still and poised at the side of valentine until he let out a howl to bring the pack's attention towards him. moving away some steps, she decided to allow the alpha to have his space while announcing what would be to come. too clingy, was that her problem? yes, perhaps so. this was a new potential problem she noticed. no pack dog would want a beta to be pushy or too talkative. dahlia noted this for the future so she could make sure to give everyone space when they needed it. her soft eyes landed on the healer who was making her way directly towards dahlia with prey held in her jaws. the beta offered a thankful smile to athena and swayed her tail slowly. the idea of fainting made her anxious, very anxious in fact. dahlia lowered her head to sniff the mouse then raised her snout up and glanced around to the members of the pack. she was hesitant to waste this food, in case some other dog might have needed it more than she did. wincing at a pull in her stomach the fae felt nauseous again. eating would help, but she wasn't sure if she even could eat with this feeling. raising the rat in her jaws with a light grip on it she took a look around at some dogs. ah, charlie. the beta had always made a great effort to make charlie feel at home ever since he joined the pack. she showed him that every pack member should care for the others and they do for themselves. walking to him, she then placed the rat down in the grass. "you aren't hungry, are you? i wouldn't want to eat before anyone else has.." a meek smile came to her face and her eyes squinted kindly.

grinning brightly, he watched as the doberman came to his side. he pounced along the grass and then bowed playfully towards artemis. the brute nipped at her paws, trying to get a laugh from his friend. oliver continued with prancing around her before coming and finally settling down beside her. he blinked some. his obsidian nose pointed right to artemis with a silly look. "I don't know, but dahlia said something about a sit-eye. not sure what it is, but i'm excited anyways!" ollie barked in response. of course he pronounced the word completely wrong but it truly wasn't intended. his tail started into another quick wag. nothing could stop the great dane's happiness that radiated off of him. the brute didn't seem to have any care for the dangers of the world. he rolled over on his back so that his stomach faced the sky. oliver looked up to artemis and laughed. she sure did look tall from down in the grass. was this how crickets saw the world? he looked to the other pack dogs and everyone appeared upside down from the angle he was at. oliver laughed once more and barked at his friend. "this is fun! come here" all the dane wanted was to hear her laugh for the day, then his first mission would be accomplished.
