“But you said all those things. You told me to tell you when I found the girl who you met at Dauntless. I never found that person. I faked being the person you loved but I can’t do it anymore.” She said as tears streamed down her face.

Alessa shushed her. "I love you as you are. I realized that now," she murmured, stroking Cara's hair. "I was worried for you. I wanted to make sure that you wouldn't get into any danger, and that you could fend for yourself, but I realized now that I need you more than I had originally thought. I'm sorry if none of what I'm saying is helping, but..." She trailed off, sighing. She wasn't good at this, explaining how she felt. She didn't really know herself. All she knew was that she loved Cara.

Alessa shushed her. "I love you as you are. I realized that now," she murmured, stroking Cara's hair. "I was worried for you. Cara started sobbing. “I thought I wasn’t good enough for anyone to love me, I thought you were just staying you loved me to shut me up once you told me these things but now I now you really meant that you love me.”

"I do truly love you," she told her. She climbed into the bed and lied down beside Cara. She kissed Cara's forehead, and continued to stroke her hair.

“I truly love you too.” She cried and turned away. She shivered and wiped her eyes.

"Hey, you okay?" she asked when Cara turned away.

“No.” She didn’t want to lie. She wiped her nose and put the blankets over her head.

"What's wrong?" she asked her. She hadn't been like this before.

“I feel so gross and so sick.” She murmured. She curled up into a tight ball and sighed.
