Cara ignored her and stumbled out of the room. She skipped down the hallway and slid down the stair railings.

Alessa shook her head, frustrated. She didn't want to just lay there while Cara could get into danger, though. She followed Cara out into the hall without saying anything.

Cara went back up the stairs and to the door of their room. She laid down in front of it and murmured "Cara is tired."

Alessa sighed and picked her up. She put her on the bed and pulled the covers over top of her, tucking her in.

Cara whimpered. "Lay by me." She said with a quiet giggle. The effects were wearing off a bit for it had been an hour.

Alessa lied down on the bed beside her, crawling under the covers. She didn't move closer to her. She didn't want to hurt her again.

Cara moved closer to her and kissed her lightly. She fell asleep with her fingers in Alessa's hair and her head on her chest.

Alessa didn't move, not wanting to wake her. She listened to Cara's soft breathing, matching it with her own. She kissed the top of her head, and then closed her eyes, falling asleep.

Cara woke up and moved back, falling off the bed. She cried out in pain and curled up in a ball.

Alessa woke up with a start, hearing Cara cry out and thinking someone was hurting her. "Cara?" she called out, panicked. Deja vu from before. She got out of bed, nearly stepping on her. "What are you doing here? Did you fall off?" She picked her up and placed her back in the bed. She lied back down beside her, making sure she was the one to be the closest to the edge, not Cara.
