Cara stopped crying and bit her lip before standing up and kicking the wall. She walked to her bed and hid under the blankets. She thought she had done something to Alessa because she never acted like this. Cara coughed a bit and wiped her nose.

Alessa tucked her knees up and buried her hands in her face. She wasn't sure what she was doing, what she should do... She curled up on the bathroom floor, upset. She shook, silently crying. She squeezed her eyes shut, and tired herself out from crying quietly. She fell asleep, tears rolling down her face.

Cara went to check on Alessa and found her asleep. She picked her up and noticed the tears on her face. Cara bit her lip and carried Alessa to her bed and put her down before she took one of her knives and threw it at the bathroom mirror, shattering it.

Alessa woke up with a start when she heard the mirror shatter. She started shaking thinking that someone was trying to kill Cara. "Cara?" she called out, in a breaking, panicked voice.

Cara sat down on her bed and sighed. "I threw a knife at the mirror." She then heard someone knock on the door. She answered it and was confronted by the Amity security guards. They grabbed her arms and dragged her to a room and injected her with peace serum. Because she was so small and so light she ended up with an overdose of it so she was in a state of euphoria.

Alessa screamed for Cara, stumbling out of bed and tripping over her feet as she went after the guards. She was hysterical, thinking that the security guards had taken Cara away from her forever and was bringing her to her step-dad.

Cara was laughing at everything. She was dizzy but she was laughing about that too. When they tried talking to her she would giggle and not pay attention. They let Alessa in and left. Cara was sitting in a chair laughing and giggling.

Alessa rushed over to Cara and picked her up, so Cara was in her lap. She hugged her, being careful about how tightly she held her. She buried her face in her hair, shaking in relief that she was alright, and that her step-dad wasn't here. It didn't look like they were taking her anywhere out of the compound.

Cara laughed when Alessa picked her up and was jumpy and excited. "Hey, Ally! I'm so HAPPY!" She yelled and danced around. She stood up and stumbled before falling. She laughed after she fell and tried getting up but fell again, laughing.

"What... What did they do to you?" she demanded. She watched Cara act like she was drunk, concerned and a bit afraid of her.
