Cara pulled her close. "I'm divergent and I don't want to get killed. I don't want anyone to find out except you." She whispered firmly in her ear before she continued walking.

Alessa felt so shocked, she stopped walking for a heartbeat. She was telling the truth, right? Either she was, or she wasn't because the actual truth was different. Worse. Shaking her head a bit, she quickened her pace to catch up with Cara again. She didn't say anything, but took Cara's hand in hers. "Why were you ever planning on stay then?' she whispered, glancing at her.

Cara sighed "Because I was stupid. I know what I'm doing now. Don't betray me." She whispered back and went out the door. Cara stopped to tie her boot but soon continued walking. She didn't care if she had a concussion. Cara squeezed Alessa's hand.

Alessa leaned towards Cara and kissed her cheek. "I would never," she whispered. She walked beside her, holding her hand. "We could go to Amity," she suggested. "They might take us in, and even if they didn't, I've always wanted to see what was behind the fence. The only problem is actually getting there. How can we get past the fence?" She said the last bit as if she was thinking out loud.

Cara shrugged. "I don't care where we go. Remember, you can't fight in Amity or else you get put on that happy serum." She muttered and leaned her head on Alessa's shoulder. "I know a way out." She said and stopped suddenly. Cara had left her most prized possession in her room.

Alessa smiled when Cara leaned her head on her shoulder. She tipped her head down a bit to rested her cheek against Cara's head. When Cara stopped walking, Alessa also stopped, looking at her. "How?" she asked when Cara said that she knew a way out.

Cara sat down and tucked her knees up to her chest, covering her face with her hands. She sighed and murmured "I know someone." Cara was upset and wanted to run back and get the thing that she needed to but she knew she didn't have time.

Alessa crouched down in front of Cara and placed her hands on her shoulders. "What wrong?" she asked her softly. She wanted to help.

Cara shook her head and stood up, looking at the ground. "I left something in my room but I'll be fine I guess." She mumbled. Cara stated walking again, staring at the ground the whole time.

"I'll go get it," she told her, standing up. "What is it? What does it look like?" she asked. She didn't continue walking.
