Cara slowly walked to Alessa’s side and her eyes widened. “Should we bring it in? It’s snowing outside.”

"Umm yeah, sure," she said, moving towards it. She hesitated, then gingerly picked it up. She didn't know how to hold it, and was probably doing it wrong.

Cara took the child in her own arms and brought her to the warmer room. “It’s a girl.” She murmured and frowned a bit. “What do we do?”

Alessa sat down, watching Cara with the infant. "Bring her to Abnegation, I guess. They'll be able to look after her."

“It’s winter. I’m not trudging through the snow. “ She murmured and bounced the baby a bit.

"I'll do it, then. I don't want to keep her for a minute longer."

“Fine.” Cara whispered and looked at the child. She always had a soft spot for babies and she was scared the child was going to freeze.

Alessa stood up, and walked over to Cara. "Wrap her up in a blanket or something so she won't get snow over her," she said. She had no idea how she was going to navigate to Abnegation in the snow, but she knew that they wouldn't be able to keep the child.

Cara swaddled the child and looked at Alessa. “You’re staying here. I’m going.” She whispered and started getting ready for walking in the snow.

Alessa kept herself from rolling her eyes, and she shook her head. "You're staying here," she insisted. "You didn't want to go in the first place, so don't change your mind. Either you stay here, or you come, but I'm definitely not letting you go anywhere by yourself."
