[Boomer]

"I don't remember that part..." she said truthfully. Alessa didn't remember Jake telling her about not practicing without him, but with how stressful she was, she could've easily forgotten it. She then shook her head. "Isn't it one of those medications that take a few days to kick in?" she said, "Some of them are like that."

"No it is not. I asked her about it." Jake said looking at her. "It is supposed to make your powers weaker right away." He said looking at her. He watched her hoping that she would understand that he was just trying to help her.

[Boomer]

"How do you know how strong my orbs normally are?" she quipped, "I haven't used them since I was seven. Besides, I didn't hurt anyone... the pups were fine." She was frustrated with Jake's lack of trust with her power. She never purposefully hurt anyone; she couldn't ever bring herself to harm another person like her mother had hurt her. Alessa lashed out her tail before looking to the staircase. Mary walked downstairs, then noticed the two talking. She stayed quiet as Alessa turned her attention back to Jake. "I'm sick of everyone trying to keep me from using my power." she growled, "Mother hated it and you hate it too. I'm sorry I couldn't be like her and get her power. Then she would've liked me..."

"I don't but I just have a feeling they are not normally that strong." Jake said. "It isn't that I don't like your power. I think it is amazing. But I just don't want you to get hurt by it or hurt anyone else so I want to make sure you have control before that happens." He said looking at her. He really was just trying to help. He did not want to make things worse but he was not sure what to do to get her to see the truth.

[Boomer]

"I have perfect control over my orbs." she stated, "I only use them to defend myself, but I don't use them during an episode. I can't focus long enough to make them... the episode is just pure panic." Mary took a few steps into the dining room. "I've noticed that as well." she said, "The telekinesis on its own doesn't require much thought." Alessa looked over to Mary and nodded. "Yeah, exactly." answered Alessa, "It's hard to get them to form correctly. I want to practice. I need to practice..." Mary looked to Jake and flicked her tail. "When can you start practicing with her?" she asked, "The sooner she can control her power under stress, the sooner she can go off the medication."

Jake listened to the two of them. "You are right. We can start tomorrow after work." He said to his daughter. "I want you well rested before we practice together. Alright?" He said to her. He had a plan for how to teach her. He had been thinking about it for a while. "We will work on all of your powers okay?" He said to her. He walked over to Mary and wrapped an arm around her. "Can we take a short walk and talk for a few?" He asked his girlfriend. He was hoping that she would be okay with it. He was not sure of his plan if she didn't.

[Boomer]

Alessa was mildly disappointed that she couldn't practice on her own. "Fine..." she murmured, sighing quietly. She went into her room to work on some of her sketches. Mary had watched Alessa, then flicked her tail. "I can have the lab randomly test her blood to see if she's taking her medicine." she said quietly. She then gave a nod and slowly moved towards the door. "Sure... I think Maria can handle the pups for a few minutes." she answered, "Last time I checked they were all asleep."

"Okay." Jake said to her with a smile and watched her go. He looked at Mary. "That would be great. Thank you." He said and took her hand and walked outside with her and started down the street.

[Boomer]

Mary walked at a leisurely pace as she looked around. "I was thinking about adding a few rooms onto the house." said Mary quietly, looking over to Jake, "Some rooms for Maria's girls and perhaps a den. I think we've got the space for it." She then shrugged a little. "Do you mind having Maria and her girls living with us?" she asked suddenly, "I don't think I ever thought to ask you."

"I think that is an amazing idea. It would give us all more space. Of course I don't mind her living with us. She is your sister. I know how much she means to you." He said and kissed the back of her paw. He was walking towards the park. "I just want you to be happy. I know that Alessa is happy with it so things are good." He said to her and walked. When he got inside of the park, he headed over to the small gazebo that was there. He turned and faced her. "I really love you and the pups and I know things are moving a little fast and all you have to do is tell me to slow down and I will. But I really love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you." He said and got down on one knee." "Will you marry me?" He asked her with a smile.
