Alessa quietly scowled to herself; she'd have to think of a plan to get outside and into the woods. "Sure..." she mumbled. The pup figured she could take them out into the yard and have them sit and watch, but then she worried about one of them telling the adults. Of course they didn't know that her power was supposed to be weaker, so there shouldn't be any comments about her being so strong.

Jake smiled at her. "Thank you. Mary should be up soon and I will be back shortly. Please tell Mary that I went to get Maria. I also wanted to talk to you about something." He said and sat next to her. "This is not something you can tell others yet but I wanted to make sure you are okay. I am thinking about asking Mary to marry me. I know things are moving fast but I am not going to do it if you are not okay with it." He said to her. He was talking quietly so he would not be overheard by anyone and only she would hear. "You can have time to think about it if you wish." He added.

[Boomer]

Alessa thought that he was going to talk to her about her own thoughts, but then realized it wasn't about her. She was glad Jake hadn't heard her thoughts. She then nodded a little. "I mean... I don't really mind." she admitted, "She's been a better mother to me than my own. I'd be okay with it."

"Okay. I am really glad that you feel that way. I know you are going through a lot and I don't want to hurt you." He said. I should get going but I will be back soon. Please stay inside the house this time okay? No more going for walks without permission." He said and stood up and headed out. He got the ring that he had called a friend about a couple of days ago before he went to get Maria. He walked into her room. "Hey Maria. Mary is asleep so I came to get you. I did not want to wake her." He said with a smile.

[Boomer]

Alessa kept a calm expression until Jake left. She then scowled to herself as she stared out the sliding glass door. She glanced back at the front door for a moment before walking towards the back door. Alessa figured it wouldn't hurt to step outside. She took two steps outside, then looked around once more. She then began to practice her energy orbs.

Maria woke up as Jake came into her room. She yawned, then sat up. "Oh, okay..." she murmured, slightly nodding, "Uh, Eileen is ready to go. I did the paperwork earlier and we all took a nap." She gestured to the three sleeping pups in the crib. Maria got up, stretched, then picked up Eileen and Jacqueline.

Jake smiled and picked up the remaining pup and walked out of the room. "I am glad that she is doing a lot better." He said and got to the car and helped get all the pups in before getting in the drivers seat and waiting for her to be ready to go before he drove to the house. He got out and helped get the pups inside.

[Boomer]

"She's been sleeping a lot, but that's okay." said Maria, shrugging some, "I slept a lot after, er... you know." She didn't say anything else as she helped get the pups into their car seats, then sat up in front. She was glad to be home with the rest of the family. As they arrived, Maria carried Eileen and Jacqueline inside, then took them up to her room. She didn't notice that Alessa was out on the porch in the middle of forming an energy orb.

Jake looked out the glass back door just in time to see it. He sighed. He walked outside and looked at her. "Come inside please. We need to talk." He said to her. He was not happy. He walked back inside and put the pup in the playpin and then looked at Alessa.

[Boomer]

Alessa jumped as the door was opened, causing the orb to become more of a blob. It then went off across the yard and weakly hit a tree. She looked over to Jake, then slightly lowered her tail. She walked inside, then stopped after walking a few feet into the house.

"You know you are not supposed to be practicing your magic without me around and you are not taking your medication like you are supposed to." He said clearly upset with her. He watched his daughter closely trying to gauge how she felt about it.
