"I'm not sure what else I'm supposed to tell you, then." she muttered, flicking her tail, "I can't leave work." Mary had already taken a lot of time off to help Maria. She let him hang up, then went back to work.

Alessa's heart pounded in her chest as she heard Jake. She was scared to go back, only because she thought she'd get in trouble. "Maybe we can sneak back inside?" she whispered. Alessa slowly moved out of the woods and went towards the back door. She tripped over one of the pups' toys, which made her yelp in pain when her foot kicked the toy.

"I hope so..." said Maria quietly, then sat on the bed. Eileen yawned a little, then pawed at Luna's face. She was getting more comfortable with Luna. Maria then looked to Mark, then flicked her tail. "If you and Luna have to leave, it's okay." she said, "I'm probably going to take a nap soon."

Jake saw her and ran over to her. "Are you okay? Where have you been?" He asked clearly very worried about her. He just wanted to make sure that she was okay but he was not sure what to do to help her. He hated that she had run off and he did not understand it at all. He helped her up.

Luna smiled a little bit. She thought the pup was cute. "I would like to leave. I am tired and want to get some sleep." She said. Mark nodded and looked at Maria. "Okay. I will take Luna home then. But please do call me if you need anything." He said to her with a smile and put the pup in the crib before starting out with Luna. Luna said goodbye to her.

[Boomer]

Alessa's foot stung a bit as she slightly lifted it. "I-I'm fine..." she said quietly, looking down, "I just went on a walk... I needed to clear my mind." Alessa moved to grab the sliding glass door and go inside; she wasn't going to tell Jake about her practicing out in the woods. The last thing she felt she needed was to have the collar put on her.

"I can't blame you." said Maria, shrugging some. She was tired herself and wanted to get some sleep. "I'll text you when I get up." she said, turning to Mark. After she said her goodbyes, Maria laid on the bed and shut her eyes, instantly falling asleep. Her pups didn't stir as she snored loudly.

"Alessa, you can't just run off like that. You need to ask before you leave the house." He said to her. Jake held the door for her and let her in. He watched her. "How about we watch a movie or something before we go pick up the pups?" He asked her hoping that she would do that to try to figure out what was going on with her. He would have to start checking on her at least with her thoughts to make sure she was okay.

[Boomer]

Alessa didn't really say anything as she went inside. She moved towards her room. "I'm a bit tired..." she mumbled, "Is it fine if I just take a nap?" The pup was tired from practicing outside. She was trying to be careful with her thoughts. Alessa hung by the door as she was waiting for Jake's answer. Her mind couldn't help but drift off into thinking how she could improve her power.

Jake sighed a little hearing her thoughts. "Yes you can take a nap. If you want to improve your power, you can always come with me and I can help you practice. Then you can learn to use your powers in a controlled setting with the medication and then, you can stop taking it and we can train the rest of your powers." He said looking at her.

[Boomer]

Alessa narrowed her eyes as she opened the doors to her room. "Why is it that I need medication? I can at least control it now." she growled, "You just get to read anyone's minds whenever you feel like it... and that's not a problem? Maybe you should be on it too." She slammed the doors shut before laying on her bed. She faced the wall as she held onto Scarlett.

Jake sighed. He did not know what to do. He walked into the kitchen and got a glass of water. He leaned against the sink and thought about what he could do to help her. Maybe he was not the best home for her like everyone thought. He sat in the hallway and leaned against the wall trying to relax.

[Boomer]

Alessa curled up on her bed with Scarlett. She huffed a bit as she laid there, still angry at the entire situation. "I won't lose control..." she scowled, "The pups know better than to mention that stuff around me." She then pricked her ears as she heard the front door open. She got out of bed and poked her head out of the doors to see an exhausted Mary come inside.

Jake looked up when he saw her. He stood up and walked over to her. "Hey. How are you?" He asked her. He kissed her forehead. "How about you go take a nap and I will go get the pups and cook dinner?" He asked her with a small smile. He did not want to bother her with his thoughts now. He would just hold them in.
