Alessa continued practicing out in the woods. Her aim and strength of the orbs was improving. Alessa then decided to focus on moving things around to defend herself. She used her power to pick up a stick, then made it swing around as if she was hitting a person.

Maria was utterly shocked now; she was flustered and didn't think it'd be polite to ask. "Perhaps you could... give me some tips, about being blind?" she asked, "My daughter had an eye infection and we had to remove it. I-I guess I'm nervous about her being bullied or thinking she's not as pretty as the other girls."

Jake kept trying to work on figuring it out but he couldn't. He answered his phone when he got a call.

"I lost my vision when I was young and honestly did not realize that I was different until I got to elementary school that I was different. I did not get picked on much in school, usually people were pretty helpful." She said to her. She walked with her brother.

[Boomer]

Alessa felt much better after practicing for a while. She looked to Scarlett for a moment, then went deeper into the woods. She wanted to find a quiet place just for herself to relax at. "Maybe we'll find a nice stream..." she murmured to the toy.

"I hope that happens with Eileen." said Maria quietly, "I'm worried about her being clumsy because she doesn't have depth perception. I'm also not sure if I want to have her wear an eye patch." She looked to Mark for a moment, wondering what his opinion was. Once they got to the elevator, Maria pushed the button for it to open.

Jake fell asleep on the couch.

"I have been fine. My other friends who are blind don't seem to have too many problems. I don't wear an eye patch. I don't like them. They are annoying." She said to her. Mark smiled a little at her. "Our mom had her wear one as a kid and she never kept it on." He said to her. "It was not worth it.

[Boomer]

Alessa found a little stream, then sat on the shore. She put her paw in the water, then sighed quietly. She liked being outside and away from everyone. "It isn't fair, Scarlett..." said Alessa softly, "I wouldn't hurt the pups. I think they know not to mention certain things."

"Would it be better to just... have the bare spot be... I don't know, exposed?" asked Maria quietly, "Once the stitches are out, I mean. Or should I let her decide when she's older?" Maria then took out her phone as Mary sent her a text. "Sorry, it's my sister." she said. Maria then texted Jake, asking him what he and Alessa wanted for dinner and also asking how Alessa's mood was.

Jake woke up when he got a text and read it and when to Alessa's room. He did not see her so he looked around. "Alessa!" He called looking around not sure where she had went. He was getting worried.

"It is totally up to you. Everyone does different things but you have to be careful to keep it clean." She said to her. She walked to the room with her brother and Mark looked at them and then helped his sister to a chair. He then looked at Maria and then the pups. They seemed fine and he was glad about that.

Alessa rested her chin on her knees as she let a breeze ruffle her hair. She felt a little sad about her situation, but she felt calm being out in the woods. She sighed some as she looked up at the sky. "We probably should go back soon..." she mumbled, frowning a little to Scarlett. She stood up and walked away from the stream.

"How would I do that?" asked Maria, "Just mild soap and water after the stitches are out?" She walked into the room, then went over to the crib. Eileen was the only one that was awake. Maria picked up Eileen, then moved towards Luna. "Do you want to meet Eileen?" she asked, "You don't have to hold her if you're not comfortable."

Jake called Mary. He was panicking. He could not find Alessa at all. He was not sure what to do. He went outside and kept looking for her. He was worried that something had happened. He had to find her. He had no idea what he would do if he didn't. Where had she gone?

Luna nodded. "Pretty much. There are things that work better. My brother can text them to you." She said to her. She shrugged. "I can hold her. You have to place her in my arms though. I can't really see you or her." She said and held her arms so she could hold the pup better without something happening. She smiled a little. Mark watched his sister before he texted Maria the names of the stuff.

[Boomer]

Alessa walked towards the yard, then froze as she saw Jake on the phone. She swiftly hid behind a tree and looked to Scarlett. "Oh man..." she winced, pinning her ears back, "Scarlett, we're in big trouble. W-what if he's calling the police?" Alessa was hyperventilating at this point. "W-what if w-we get thrown in jail?!" she barked, shaking Scarlett, "I can't survive there!"

Mary paused from her snack as she felt her phone vibrate. "Odd..." she mumbled, taking it out of her pocket and answering it. "Jake?" she asked, "What's going on?" She stepped away to a quieter spot to hear him. "Maybe she just went on a walk..." she said calmly, "I doubt she got far. Take a walk around and if you don't find her in fifteen minutes, call the police."

"Oh, thanks." said Maria quietly, giving a nod. She slowly set Eileen in Luna's arms. "She still has her left eye." said Maria, "I think it's okay, though..." Eileen looked to Luna and simply watched her. She wasn't excited or fearful; she was neutral at this point.

"Mary, I am not sure what to do but I am positive that calling the police is the very wrong thing to do. That would just scare her and I don't want to do that." He said with a sigh. "I am so bad at this whole parenting thing. I will talk to you later." He said and hung up. "Alessa!" He called as he walked around.

"I see. She will be fine no matter what happens. It takes time to adjust at first but after a while, it is natural." Luna said holding Eileen. She thought that she was okay. She yawned a little. She really just wanted to go and relax but she did not want to be rude. She listened as she heard people down the hall fighting.
