The pups were silent as they were taken back to the hospital. Alessa was terrified at this point; she didn't understand what was going on and she was panicking that she had done something bad. She was quiet, however, as she was internally panicking. Mary parked the car, got her pups out of the car, then carried them into the hospital. She didn't want to wait for them to catch up to her.

Jake looked at Alessa after he got out. "We should try to keep up with Mary. It is probably Maria and I might need to help Mary with her pups." He said and helped her to get out and then started after Mary trying to keep Alessa close to him so she would not get lost. But he was worried he would lose Mary while she was hurrying along to go to Maria.

[Boomer]

Mary was already in the elevator as Jake and Alessa came into the ER. Alessa looked to Jake as she pinned her ears back. "W-what's wrong with her?" she asked. The pup grabbed Jake's paw as she shut her eyes. The elevator doors shut by the time they got to them.

"Dang it!" He said when they missed the elevator. "We will have to wait in the waiting room for them." He said and texted Mary with his free hand to tell her. "I am not sure what is wrong. Mary did not say. Let's go sit for a while." He said and walked to the waiting room holding her hand. He sat on one of the couches.

[Boomer]

Alessa winced a little hearing that they'd have to stay down in the ER. She blindly followed him and once they got to the waiting room, she opened her eyes and sat on the couch next to him. She jumped as Mary replied back to him, telling him to go to the sixth floor to room 612. Alessa pinned her ears back as she was feeling a little warm in the face and ears.

Jake looked at his phone. "Alright. We have to go to the sixth floor room 612." He said to her and took her paw gently in his and walking to the elevator and hit the button. He got in when it came and hit the sixth floor. He waited for the elevator to get there before he got out and walked into room 612. He was wondering what was going on. He hoped that everything was okay.

[Boomer]

Alessa allowed him to lead her to the elevator. Only when its doors closed, Alessa opened her eyes. She sighed in relief as they were finally out of the ER. "Well, the fifth floor is peds..." said Alessa softly, "I think surgery is on the third floor... so what's up on the sixth floor?" As she the doors opened and she walked with Jake, she saw a welcoming sign that read "OB and Labor". "What does that mean?" asked Alessa, clearly confused.

"That means doctors for little pups who are not born and such." He said to her and walked. He went into the room and looked at Maria, Mary, and the pups. "Hello." He said to them. He looked at Alessa to make sure that she was okay. She was most important to him right now. He really did care about the others, but Alessa was his daughter.

[Boomer]

"Not born?" echoed Alessa, looking even more confused. She had never been told about where puppies came from or anything of the sort. Alessa had simply assumed she just, showed up into her mother's life one day at random. She didn't understand the process of having pups. Alessa followed him into the room and stood by him as Mary was by her sister's side. Maria was in some discomfort as she looked to them. "Hey..." she said weakly. The little pups were quietly sitting on the couch by the window.

"Yes." Jake said to her. "Someday, I will explain it to you." He said to her. He did not want to tell her right now. He looked at the Maria. He could tell that she was in pain. He looked over at Mary. "If you want me to take the pups to my house, I don't mind doing that for you so you can stay here with Maria." He said to her.
