"You're so sweet..." she said happily, blushing some. Maria looked back towards the kitchen for a moment. "Mare made cocoa and I think there's still some left." she informed him, "It's really good." She pricked her ears as she could faintly hear Mark's sister in the background. "Do you have to go?" she asked, "I don't want to keep you and your sister if she wants to go."

"I know you do." she murmured, slightly dipping her head. Mary took his paw as he returned to her side. "I do hope Alessa is able to get some sleep..." she said quietly, "I feel sorry for her." Mary brought Jake's paw to her cheek. "Did you find out anything new from today's training?" she inquired, glancing to Jake.

Mark smiled. "That sounds really good. I bet it tastes good." Mark said. He sighed a little. "Ya... she is ready to go so I need to get shoes on and head out. I will be over soon though okay? Text me your address so I can find it." He said. He was so excited to see her again but wasn't sure what the others would think of him so he was also really nervous. He walked back inside. He looked at his outfit and decided that he should also change.

"I do too. It was a ruff training." He said and kept his paw on her cheek. "Learned a little. You can't communicate with her at all when she is in that state. It is like she isn't even here. She is right back there. I am going to have to find a way in so we can train in that state but I am not sure how to do that.

"It's amazing..." she praised, "I'll keep the rest warm for you. See you later!" Maria hung up and texted their address to Mark. She went back inside after finishing her cocoa. She cleaned the mug before putting it in the dishwasher. She looked over to Mary and Jake for a moment before going upstairs. Mary looked to Maria for a moment, but she was listening to Jake. "I thought that'd be the case..." she murmured, "She seems to dissociate, but her personality doesn't split. It wouldn't shock me if she had PTSD... what her mother did to her was sickening." Mary sighed quietly, flicking her tail lightly. "Perhaps if you can't talk to her while she's in that state, you could focus on keeping her from going there in the first place." she suggested.

Jake glanced at Maria when she came in. He kept his paw on his fiancée's cheek though. He looked back at Mary. "That seems like the only option. I don't know what else I can do. I will have to try to keep her from going there. If she goes there, there is nothing that I can do." He said with a sigh. "I just want to help her and be a good dad but I am not sure I am doing that right now." He said.

Mark dressed in a red dress shirt and jeans. He really wanted to impress Maria. He knew they were just friends, but he really liked her a lot. He was not sure she would want something more but he did. He got his sister to the car and drove to her friends and got her inside. He then went to her house and knocked on the front door.

[Boomer]

"You not giving up on her or forcing her to be ashamed of her powers means you're a good father." said Mary gently, "It'll be difficult for a while, but she'll be thankful in the future. Pups down see things into the late future." She pricked her ears as she heard knocking on the door. Maria zipped downstairs and answered the door. She was wearing a gray t-shirt and a black skirt; Maria wasn't one to wear jeans. "Hi, I'm glad you didn't get lost." she grinned, letting him inside.

Jake nodded as he listened to her. "I guess you are right. I just want to be my best for her and your pups." He said to her. "I never want any of them to feel ashamed for who they are." He said to her. He looked over to the door when he heard knocking to see Maria get it.

Mark smiled and walked inside. "Hey. It was really easy to find actually. I am glad I did not get lost too. You look great." He said to her. He was so glad to see her. She was so beautiful. He gave her a quick hello hug before pulling back. "Nice place you have here." He said looking at her.

[Boomer]

"You're always the best." murmured Mary, lightly nuzzling him. She watched Mark and Maria as they hugged. "Awe, thanks." said Maria, blushing a little. She gave a nod. "Thanks, Mare and I got it together." she said, "We've been wanting to expand it a bit more." Maria then led Mark into the dining room. "I know you've met Mary, but I'm not sure if you met Jake? Maybe at the hospital once?" murmured Maria, a bit unsure.

Jake smiled when he was nuzzled. He kissed her cheek. "You are the best too." He said to her. "I love you." He added. Jake looked over as Maria and Mark walked in. "I think we might have once." Jake said to her. "Nice to see you Mark." He said and held out his paw for him. Mark shook it with a smile on his face. "Likewise." He said. He looked at Maria. He felt so relaxed around her. He really did like her. He looked at Mary and Jake. "How have you two been?" He asked them. He was being his polite self.

[Boomer]

"I love you too..." said Mary softly. She sat up a little as Mark and Maria came over. "We've been well, how about yourself?" she asked, "Has your sister been well, too? Maria told me that you were helping your mother and taking care of her." "She went to her friend's house, so we get to hang out." said Maria happily, "We're gonna watch some movies." She then went to the stove and got Mark a cup of cocoa. She gave the mug to Mark; it was still warm.

"I've been great. Just helping Luna get around. She is good. Happy to get to spend time with her friend. Luckily, her friend is good at taking care of her." He said. Mark took the cup. "Thank you." He said and started to drink it. "I am excited to watch some movies with Maria. Should be fun." He said with a smile. He looked at Maria happily. Jake watched the two. They really were cute together and he wondered when the two would start dating.
