"Thank you." said Alessa quietly, picking up her plate and eating quickly. She didn't talk until she finished eating. "I feel better after eating." she said, wiping her muzzle with a napkin.

[it.will.rain]

"Good. You should try to rest. We had a hard training session today." He said to her. He wanted her to relax.

[Boomer]

"I can't sleep..." she said quietly, shaking her head, "I know I'll have nightmares." The girl looked to Mary, wanting her to back her up on it. Mary simply shook her head. "You've got to rest." she said, "It'll be difficult, but I don't want to use sedation just to keep you still."

[it.will.rain]

"I know it will be hard but you can do it. You are amazingly strong." He said and looked at Mary. "We are not sedating her. Especially after today." He said to her. He looked at his daughter. "How about you sleep here and so if anything happens, I will be right here." He said to her.

[Boomer]

"I wasn't planning on sedation." said Mary, "I'm letting her know I won't use it just to keep her from moving and dreaming." "I'm not tired." said Alessa, shaking her head, "How can anyone be tired from seeing that?" The pup planned on staying up all night; she was hoping that by the next morning she'd be so tired she couldn't dream at all.

"Okay. Well, at least lay down and try to relax a little bit." He said to her. He cared so much about her and wanted her to try to calm down. He watched his daughter hoping she would agree. He was not sure why he would do if she didn't. He just wanted her to relax. He looked at Mary and took her paw.

[Boomer]

Mary took Jake's paw as she watched Alessa. "I can't..." winced Alessa, shaking her head, "What if she shows up? I can't be caught off guard." "You'll be okay." said Mary gently, "Sit down and I'll make you some cocoa." "Okay..." frowned Alessa, reluctantly sitting down.

Jake looked at his daughter. "You don't have to worry about her. It is my job to protect you so you can live a happy life and that is exactly what I am going to do. You are completely safe here." He said and went into the kitchen with his fiancé.

[Boomer]

"Easy for you to say..." she frowned. Alessa watched them go into the kitchen. Mary began to gather everything she'd need for the cocoa. "You know, I haven't heard Maria mention Mark in a while..." she murmured, looking to Jake, "I wonder how he's doing?"

"I don't know. She seemed to really like him and now she never talks about him. I wonder if she decided she did not really like him anymore." He said to her with a shrug. He was not sure what else it could be. He helped her get food for his daughter. "I guess you could ask her about him. I thought she really wanted to date him... at least by how they were acting together. He seemed to care about her..." he said with a shrug.
