"I'm glad that you don't mind..." said Mary softly, a little relieved, "Just know if any of your family needed a place to stay, they'd be welcomed." She enjoyed the walk with Jake; it could be difficult to have some time away from the pups or Maria. "It?" she asked, wondering what he meant that Alessa was happy with "it". As they got closer to the gazebo, it didn't take her more than a second to realize what was going on. Still, she followed him, although the bit of shock was making it harder to move. Sure she expected Jake to ask eventually, but not now. "Of course I will." she answered, keeping her voice even for the moment. She wasn't one to melt into a blubbering mess, but she was clearly happy and excited. She then hugged Jake and held onto him, finally allowing the emotions to take over. "Maria will be so thrilled..." she murmured, moving to clear her eyes of tears, "The pups will be too."

"Thank you but I don't really talk to my family." He said to her. It was nice to spend time with her alone and he was just so glad that she wanted to be with him. He smiled and stood holding her close letting her pull away and he gently wiped her tears. "I know that they will be. I love you so much." He said to her with her. He kissed her. "What would you like to do now?" He asked her and held her close. He watched her.

[Boomer]

"I love you too..." she murmured, sniffling a little, "I couldn't ask for a better man." Mary returned the kiss, then flicked her tail lightly. "Hmm." she thought aloud, "I suppose we should celebrate, yes? Oh... but Maria. She can't watch all seven pups by herself." Mary sighed softly, then looked to him. "Unless Maria's friend could come over and help." she said, "I'd hate to leave her alone with the pups. Or I guess we could ask Alessa to help and give her ten dollars for helping? What do you think?"

Jake blushed. "I am not that great but thank you." He said to her. He rubbed her back a little. "I would love to celebrate with you. I can call the house and see if she would do it." He said to her. He kept his arm around her and called the house. He was hoping that his daughter would agree. He wanted some alone time with her. He waited for someone to answer. He kissed her forehead as he waited. He was happy like this. He wanted some tin for them to enjoy this before the others started to join in on it.

[Boomer]

"You're much better than... never mind." said Mary quietly, not wanting to ruin the moment. She was patiently waiting for someone to get the phone. "Hopefully Maria will be up to it." she mumbled, "I'm sure I'll owe her one." She shrugged lightly as she took a hold of Jake's free paw.

Cybil had walked downstairs to get a glass of water when she heard the phone ring. She answered it and flicked her stubby tail. "We don't wanna buy any." said Cybil bluntly. She went to hang up, but heard Jake's voice. "Oh, uh... hey Jake." she said sheepishly. The pup already moved towards Maria's room, figuring that he wanted to talk to her. She barged into Maria's room and gave her the phone. Maria took the phone from Cybil. "Hi Jake..." she murmured, staring up at the ceiling, "Uh sure, I can watch the pups. I'll just throw a movie on and hopefully that'll keep them busy for a while."

Jake smiled. "Hey Cybil. It is Jake. Can you please give the phone to your aunt?" He asked her and waited for Maria to speak. He looked at Mary and smiled. "Hey would you mind watching the pups for a little longer? We were thinking about going to dinner and spending some time together for a while." He said hoping that she would be okay with it. "Ya that should work. Can I talk to Alessa please? You can ask Cybil to give the phone to her. I am sure that she would." He said to her. He waited for Alessa to speak. "Hey Alessa, Mary and I are going to stay out later than we originally planned. Would you mind helping with the pups? I will give you $10 for helping." He said to her really hoping that she would agree so that he could spend time with his Mary.

[Boomer]

Cybil was given the phone and went downstairs. "Are you sure you want to talk to Alessa?" asked Cybil wearily, "She's not in a good mood." The pup lightly knocked on the French doors before entering. Alessa was once again practicing her telekinesis, but stopped when Cybil came in. Cybil didn't say a word about it. "Jake wants to talk to you." she said. "Oh great, I bet he's sticking me with another medication." muttered Alessa, taking the phone from the pup. She listened to him for a moment, then flicked her tail. "Sure..." she mumbled. Alessa figured she didn't have much of a choice either way.

"Yes I do want to talk to her." He said and waited. "Thank you Alessa. It really means a lot that we get to spend some time alone together. We will be back later okay?" He said. "Talk to you later." He added before he hung up. He then put his arms around his fiancée "They said we will be good for a while." He said with a smile. He was glad to get some time with her.

[Boomer]

Alessa hung up the phone and gave it back to Cybil. "Don't tell him what you saw." she said. "I didn't see anything." said Cybil quietly. Alessa dipped her head as Cybil left the room. The girl continued practicing as Cybil put the phone back in the kitchen.

"I hope things stay that way." murmured Mary, hoping that Alessa wouldn't lose her temper with the pups. She didn't think the girl would, but she also never thought that Alessa would be so headstrong about taking her medication. Mary held onto him for a moment as a light breeze ruffled her auburn hair. "What shall we do first?" she asked quietly, "It isn't quite dinnertime yet."

"I know what you mean. I am a little worried about it but there is nothing that we can do. She is just not the same ever since we decided to take her to therapy. Clearly it was a bad idea." He said with a sigh. He kissed her forehead. "We can do what you want. We could walk around or go to the movies...really whatever you want." He said to her with a smile.
