newtstar limped into camp after the encounter with a fox. him and three of his warriors, aspencreek, ivyleaf, and rushheart had run into a fox while patrolling the border. the scent of the creature was concealed well, and they were taken by surprise. the warriors had managed to escape with nothing but a few scratches, but newtstar's back left leg was badly wounded. he slowly approached blackpetal's den in the hopes that the medicine cat was there at the time. "blackpetal, are you, ah, in there?" he asked, as he pushed the brambles out of the way. he winced as he accidentally stepped with his bad leg. he saw her in her den, digging holes for herbs. he spoke again. "would you mind helping, i injured my leg during an encounter with a fox" he looked at the medicine cat, wincing again.

newtstar nodded and lay on the bed of moss as she had instructed. he flinched away as she placed cobweb on his leg. "yes, it stings an awful lot. the fox really got me, didn't it?" he sighed, flicking his tail towards the brambles and the camp, "and after you're done here, could you check up on aspencreek, ivyleaf, and rushheart? they said they were fine, but i'm sure they got hurt too, even if not as badly as i was." he thought he had noticed a scratch on ivyleaf's muzzle, but wasn't sure.
