[Boomer]

"Oh..." she whispered, slowly reaching to grab her knife. She felt a little intimidated while holding it. "I-I think I got it." she answered, a tad nervous. She wasn't quite sure what to do with the knife, she just knew she needed to use it.

[-Blufox]

Sammy took a few bites before pushing his plate away from him a bit. "I... I feel awful." He sighed. "Margaret's in the hospital and she must be scared to death. You two have gone through so much... and I hope after a while we can slow down and just breathe."

Margaret, however, wasn't scared to death. She didn't want to be in the hospital, hooked up to all these machines. She wanted to go run around and see all the animals on the farm. Sure, the movies were nice, and the food wasn't terrible, but being cooped up inside wasn't what she wanted. At one point she wanted to take off her IV and sneak out, but a nurse passed by and put an end to it. Now she had a camera positioned right near her in case she tried anything else. Margaret was fascinated by the foreign device.

[Boomer]

Alessa nodded a little as she just sat there with the knife in her paw. She too wanted to have things settle down and get better; she was tired of going to the hospital. Alessa soon gave up on the knife, stabbing her steak with her fork and chewed on it like a feral animal.

Sammy watched Alessa, not commenting on her way of eating.

A week passed with barely any activity. Margaret was recovering, but was quite unhappy being in the hospital. She had already watched half the movies in the box, drew some of the characters, and tried another escape at night. Another nurse saw this, and put someone on watch at night. The nurse, who was a young fox, was kind to Margaret and attempted to start conversations with her right before her bedtime. Margaret never gave lengthy answers though.

[Boomer]

Alessa mostly kept to herself, mostly drawing or reading. She was still plagued with nightmares, but that was nothing new. Alessa was currently reading a book in the living room; she had shown little interest in the farm animals.

"Alessa?" Sammy poked his head into the living room. "Would you like to visit Margaret in the hospital this afternoon? You can make her a card."

[Boomer]

Alessa turned towards him and dipped her head. "May I have some paper to make the card?" she asked.

Sammy got some paper and colored pencils from his art studio, then gave them to Alessa. He kneeled down and started drawing as well.
